Yorkies seize the day
 
Most of the pics on this vid are from today's walk, so they might be a tad repetitive. But it really struck me how Eddie and Jillie make the most out of every second they're out there. They appreciate what they have and take nothing for granted. Gotta love it when dogs teach you life lessons. ;)

Believe me, that hurt a LOT.

Still a great video though. Wait, something just occurred to me. We have NO proof that you are the videographer. Clearly these dogs belong to some skilled, talented, pleasant Alaskan, who forwarded you this footage, and you passed it off as your own. Please pass my compliments back to your victim.

I felt like I was watching a very, very short Nat Geo special. Are you a professional photographer? Those are wonderful shots and capture three dogs outside having the time of their lives. Thank you for a fun 3 minutes of watching dogs be dogs!

Aww, thanks. Nah, just an amateur who spends an inordinate amount of time photographing Yorkies running toward me. I bring my camera with me most days because I never know what they're gonna do and don't want to miss it. ;)

And QS, if you put your nose right up to the screen, you can see me reflected in Eddie's eyes taking the pictures. :p

Yanno Mike..you got me thinking...you use to do a lot of videos with subtitles, that also involved you "acting" in it....are you getting lazy on us?? :D

That was awesome. Great shots too. I love the lab, beautiful.

One of the shots I had to look real close of the lab he looked just like a bear.

You could tell they were having alot of fun.

Thanks, everybody. :) Almost gave up on this project because all the ball pictures were so similar, but a few other pics and the song feel like they held it together.

* Alana, you tell Dexter that it's easy to avoid camera shake when you're working with STILL PICTURES! And that if he doesn't start appreciating the TRUE GENIUS in the Yorkie video world, you can threaten to send him off to frozen Alaska! (This is all a secret plot of mine to get you and Dexter into an argument so you WILL send him ;) ) I use iMovie, which I'm sure true videographers would laugh about, but it works especially good with stills.

* Jo Ann, there's always one rotten apple in the cart! I debated putting cutesy subtitles on there, but Eddie and Jillie have advanced to more serious messages at this stage of their cinematic careers. :p

* Betty, make that TWO rotten apples :p

Nope, they're dog booties similar to the kind sled dogs use. They're just a fleece sack secured with a velcro strap. The secret to keeping them on is the velcro is attached to an elastic strap, allowing me to snug them down a little tighter while not cutting off the circulation. I like them because they're light weight and easy to walk in. They don't especially like having me put them on, but once outside they forget they have them on. And on the occasions I've tried going without them, they balk at walking in the snow.

he is a beach dog, so living in canada right now is bad enough for him, let alone the threat of alaska!! :p that would, however, make for a good Dexter's Ruff Life video...Dexter Does Alaska! ;)

i like the fluid pans and zooms that you do with the still pictures. just goes to show that the big programs arent always better. i use Adobe Premier and still dont know how to make fluid motion zooms on stills like that!

It's called the Ken Burns effect, and I know at least some other programs use it. You get to choose a "start" crop for the picture and an "end" crop, and then it slowly pans between the two for the length of time you have chosen for the slide. ;)
