Here's a short vid of Eddie doing his newest trick, the old, reliable "speak." As you can see, he's a natural :p

This was actually tougher to teach than I thought. The only way I could get him to bark was to say "dog" or "moose" and point outside. I was afraid I was reinforcing his normal obnoxious barking. But he picked it up after a few days and doesn't seem any worse in his normal barking.

Good job Eddie!!!!......... I can truely say the first "speak" technique is something that we have accomplished very well here!!!! LOL

Mike you are the world's best trainer...the minute Eddie spoke my gang all spoke up also. How did you train them to do that...:confused:

LOL, I love Eddie videos. He's awesome. And I was going to teach Jackson to speak... but was scared I may create a monster. I'm still debating on that one! I love your "spin" trick you do, too... I can't get Jackson to spin! He does so many tricks great, picks them up fast... he won't spin!

LOL, my wife was thinking the same thing. But I've heard once you teach them to speak, you can teach them NO speak. At least that's what I told her! ;)

Wonderful. Make it quick. I tied Eddie to the porch and told him to "speak" when it arrives. And I KNOW you wouldn't want to hurt Eddie!

i taught morgan to speak too. i had to bark first to get her to do it. LOL

Cricket used to bark insanely whenever DH rattled his belt buckle. So I used that to teach her to bark. Now, Zacchie was a different one, all together! He will only speak if he wants me to play with him. He won't even speak for a treat!

Now, try "Whisper". My Aunt taught her Jilly (my Rocky's sister) to whisper after she learned to speak and makes a very quiet bark.

LOL, on his own, Eddie started just opening and closing his mouth instead of barking when I gave the command, so I decided to reward that. Now I've got the only silent speaker out there! Then again, he barks like crazy when he's curious about something, command or no command.

Well I gave the command to be quiet or no, and they just don't listen:p I can't watch any videos of Eddie or any other dog without them commenting on it.:D

lol, well if it makes you feel any better, it's the same way over here when other dogs bark. ;)

And Cindy, shush. Eddie is still outside waiting, and it frosted over last night. :eek:

Well I hope he wasn't peeing as he could be stuck to the front porch all winter...it would make for an interesting statue...:p:rolleyes::p

Oh I guarantee you that Eddie is swearing like a sailor because he can't believe what idiot still thinks there is a man wearing a red suit flying with reindeers would put him out on the porch...even Jillie knows that is a big fat lie...:p
