| Hello again Hi all. Long time no 'see' My Yorkie, Cookie is now 4 and half y/o and she is totally cute. I love the way she tilts her head when I talk to her - the way she insists on having her favourite 'teddy' (a cream coloured, sausage shaped 'dog' that has a squeaky head and body) and wont' go to bed without it. I pick her up to carry her up the stairs and I hold the teddy in the same hand. She ravages the teddy mercilessly and then when I put her on my bed and pass teddy, she gives it what for. Bed time is 'teddy time' for her and I have a furher teddy tug-o-war before she settles off on her routine of licking me all over my neck, ears, shoulders and arms. Last year she got out at night and was missing for 10 days until someone saw our advert in a local petsmart. During that time, I was totally grief stricken and each day was hard to get through. She was staying with a family nearby during this time. When she gets out, she will have a sniff round and when I call her, she turns to walk to me then she will change her mind and trot away and if I go after her, she runs. She will 'home' to the nearest person and beg to be picked up. I get very upset about this because I see it as her not being happy here even though she is loved beyond anything and she is happy here, but I don't know how to stop her running away apart from keeping her indoors and letting her play in my secure garden. It is so bad that I dream of losing her and when Cooks and me have our 'daddy and Cookie' time, I ask her not to leave me again, stupid I know, but she means so much to me.

| Hi, Welcome back. It's good to hear she was returned to you safely. I know your furbaby loves you alot; they can be tempermental at times too It would be a good idea to keep her in a gated environment if you can. keeping her leashed also would not be terrible, it would be for her safety. while you are walking her.
