Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | Rusty has a new nickname: Nanook Yes, Megan's boy Rusty arrived today and is now an Alaska Dog. I don't even know where to begin. I can honestly say that after a 5-10 minute introductory period, we have been best friends. He really latched onto me as his "rescuer" who opened the crate. I don't blame him. The flight was 11 1/2 hours and he was in the crate for 13 1/2. What turned it around was that Megan had given me a few words that he recognizes, "Car ride" among them. When I said that, all was well. He is now my shadow. Jack and Eddie have accepted him wonderfully. The dog trainer who went with me to pick him up and supervise the introduction was amazed. She told me I am not going to have any problems at all with them. I'm delighted. Rusty has been pacing a bit around the house and around the yard, but he's doing it with tail waggin' and a smile on his face. Did I say I'm delighted? Here's the vid:
