Sully the Newshound! (VIDEO)
 
Here is a short video of Sully the Newshound.....digging for the news and finding it, no matter what it takes!

....kindof....I hid his newspaper toy under the rug, and he knows how to get it back. It's a game we play every day and I thought it was too cute not to share.

(For those of you who don't know, I'm a journalist for our local newspaper, and so I'm very partial to Sully being my "newshound"! In fact, he goes to work with me some nights and all my coworkers call him The Newshound as well! He's our mascot!)

How did you teach him to crawl? That would be fun!

SSShhhh I haven't posted that video yet, LOL.

I taught him to crawl by telling him to lay down, and then pulling his collar a bit. When I saw leg movement, he got a treat. Then I started to become a little more stingy with treats. After a few days (this trick took a while to learn) he was crawling all over the house, haha!

I also from the beginning did the voice command and hand signal (I did a finger wiggling crawl signal with my hand). And now he knows just by the hand signals how to do all of his tricks.

OMG that was WAY more than my girls could take !! They get the Houston Edition of that SAME paper and they love it - When I opened the video they went NUTS ...Cheri came 3 feet off the floor and landed on my Chest ....(don't worry - plenty of landing space) :D ......Surprised the heck out of me though ...

That was so cute - I think Sully is Chanels counterpart cause everytimne I see him - I see my baby Chanel - He's sooo funny - I just love him

I didn't know I just push all the buttons ;) I'm gonna start teaching Simon that trick. He'll do just about anything for a treat ;)

You think you can lend me Sully for two hours on Thursday for graduation. I need Pebbles to do tricks so I will take switch them. LOL. She is so talented and you are such a good mommy! You should have been a teacher! You are very energetic! She is a cutie pie!

Aww, thank you! You can borrow Sully....pull his hair up and put a bow in it and put a frilly dress on him...just don't tell my husband! J/k he'd SO notice! LOL!!!

I looooooooove teaching Sully tricks. I would love nothing more than to be a dog trainer...but I've never even taught ANY dog even one trick before I got Sully 8 1/2 months ago! (Believe it, it's true!) My parents never let me have a dog when I was a kid :(

Any ideas on how I could learn more about being a trainer?

I love Sully's videos, he is so smart. Keep them coming. You will be an awesome trainer. Gucci is so lazy, then again i dont have your patience. I will love to teach Gucci all those tricks. Wanna teach Gucci? ;)
