She works at this really hard. Every few minutes she has to take a break and get a drink. Can't imagine why people think they don't like water.

OMG I hope my husband doesn't see this - he wants me to get a pool SO BAD for Chanel - I already have enough keeping up with the hose - she is wet EVERY DAY ...How do you keep her dry ? Does she love it that much that she stays in the pool or does she only go in when you're out there ?

That is SUCH a cute picture - :) she really paddles around in there?

I have such a water girl I feel like I'm depriving her but I wonder if she would actually play in a pool...

I think she just likes me being her "Hose Slave" I titled this pic as simply - "Whopeeeeee" This is the Chanel I see every DAY ! lol...

but I LOVE that little pool !

I have to ask...do you empty the pool every day ?

does she want to jump in on her own ?

My husband keeps BUGGING me for a pool but I just don't know if Chanel would have the same fun as she does in the hose....Your baby SURE LOOKS CUTE IN THERE ~!

Villette, I found this little pool at Petsmart. It's only about 3 feet across. Walmart didn't have one this small. Maggie will stand up on the outside of the pool, with her front legs dangling in. I have to help her in. Once in, she walks around, drinks, walks some more, drinks--this goes on and on until she cools off. She gets out on her own just fine.

I do empty it everyday. It probably hold 25 gallons. I am always concerned about mosquito larvae, algae and just plain yuck. We have well water, so the water is pretty cold. Each morning I dump out the old and fill with new. By the time she is ready for a swim, the water has warmed up.

It was only $6. Could even double as a "Rub A Dub Pup In A Tub".

Why can't Chanel have two sources of water? Kinda like a backyard water park. :p Yep, I think your girls need a backyard water park. :thumbup:

LOL!! Thanks for the information - I would NEVER have a dry Chanel but I might have to go get one - for 6 bucks hey - I can always get in when it gets to 120 degrees here !

I'll let you know - I won a PETSMART Gift Certificate - Whooo hooooo ....and I think I'll be shopping pools !!! Thanks for the reply - I really appreciate it !

I will tell you the truth. I did get in it myself and walk around with Maggie. I just didn't want husband to get the camera and catch me. It was nice on the feet too. ;)

What did you do to win a Gift Certificate at Petsmart? I feel like I'm a stockholder already. It wouldn't hurt to give me something in return.

LOL on the dip in the doggie pool - you never know these days whos watching you !!

The gift Cert came from the 10,0000 post giveaway - I felt like I won the lotto ! now all I have to do is keep trying and who knows - luck may be in my life for a change ! Course...I feel lucky everyday with my girls but we all could always use more !

Brenda, that's so funny!! Yeah, I agree Villette needs a water park for her girls! It would be the first dog water park in the country! Let's see what could she name it...Splashin' Pup Safari....Chanel's Canine Country Water Park...Woofin' Waters....OK I better quit, lol!

That's so cute! I've been dying to take Brutus into our pool to see if he likes it but I'm not sure if he's to young? He'll be 6 months in 3 days.

6 months old is perfect - Chanel was playing Water Hockey in the Water Dish at 2 months....She would get in it....and have a total Blast with ice cubes....water ALL over my kitchen.... but who's going to stop THAT cuteness ?

Maggie is only 4 months old. She loves the water. I got her use to getting wet, by just laying a running hose in the driveway. She would sneak up on the running water and get a drink. Then I elevated the hose just a little. She became so use to the running water, that now she begs for ANYBODY to PLEASE turn on the water.

Your little one is so lucky to have her own pool. Wow! I agrre that some yorkies just love water. Hefner is sure one who does. We have the big pool but I think a little pool like that would be fun too because they could touch the bottom. I think I will run pick one up! Toys R Us her we come!
