Sorry its' taken me awhile to tell you about General Patton's Courage. I picked him Friday and so we didn't get home till dark. His first night on the way back was remarkable. The drive home(about an hour and 40 minutes) was great. He was so well behaved. Of course, when I got home, I introduced him to Isabella(Bella) and I think Bella thought he was a toy. I placed Patton in a crate for the night and he whined for about two minutes and then stopped and fell asleep. He whined once during the middle of the night, but stopped shortly again. Actually, when I've put him in his crate, he whines less(about 30 seconds). On Sat, he and Bella were becoming acquainted shall we say. Very few accidents, mostly potty trained on newspapers and piddle pads. I had added a second potty station in my upstairs bathroom(the other is in my downstairs kitchen), and Saturday night I went to the restroom and took him with me, and he did his business. He is amazing! He was able to potty on a different area. General Patton was clearly more sociable, and confident with himself and his new family, including Bella. He was biting Bella, egging her on to chase him, running after Bella. Whoever saw it thought they had known each other for a long time. Initially, went up the stairs slowly, one at a time and much praise was given. His momma was more anxious than he! By Sunday, General Patton was now able to go down the stairs(at first with hesitancy), but certainly going up the stairs in three and four steps at a time before resting, and moving up some more stopes. This Morning, he went all the way up the flight of steps without resting. He is such fun to watch!
My question to you is do you feel I need to have potty stations in several rooms in the upstairs and downstairs, or would that confuse him? I added a third station today in the computer room next to where he had had an accident, and just a few minutes ago as I was typing this he did his business on this new station. Please tell me what you think.
Patton is eating well also. He is now about three pound(what a pig)! He is playful with me, loving. He is such a joy. He is certainly holding his own with Bella(who is 17 lbs). She has been gentle with him even when Patton has provoked her. I will send pics as soon as they are developed(sorry don't have a digital). His ears are down, hopefully will change.
