| There are a lot of ways. You can use the Search button at the top to look up some of the information here - that's the great thing about YT - you will find several ways to get to the same goal.... we all do things a little differently, so you'll find something that works for you. But my personal way in training my dogs is lots and lots of treats. Does she know any commands yet? She's 8 months old, so you might have already taught her some. If not, I'd start with Sit, Down, and Stay first and then build on that. I use treats for everything. Yorkies will do anything for a good treat! One of the YT'ers (Shoot, I can't remember who it was - anyone else remember?) trained her Yorkie to "take a bow" by treating him when he took his morning stretch! So Cool! Yorkies are very very smart and feel really important when they are learning! Good Luck! |
