I have to start over I was away from Sparky for two weeks for the business trip, and my fiancee was with him in my absence. After I came back home, I realized that sparky doesn't pee on the pad anymore, he used to be very good on this before I left. Even though I have tried so hard to retrain him to pee on the pad, he still runs to the carpet and does his business on the carpet. Furthermore,He even peed on our bed twice, it never happened before. We put him in the cage to let him know that he did this wrong. However, it won't help. We are very upset about it, did he forget all the training that we gave to him two weeks ago? or because of other reasons? Did it happen to you too? Please advise. Thanks! |
I gate a part of the house so Maxi stays in one area. She isn't allowed to run around the rest of the house until she ALWAYS goes on her weewee pad. Then i slowly give her a little bit more and more room as the weeks go by. It seems to do the trick.. there is also a spray that you can use on the weewee pads that gets the puppies to go on the pad. Hope that helps :o good luck! :D |
Thanks for the response. Yes, I have tried to block him in the kitchen area. However, he didn't stop crying when we did so everytime. We feel very bad about that because most of the daytime we have to leave himself alone at home (both of us have to go to work). Whenever Sparky sees us coming back home from work, he is SO SO happy, and follows us everywhere in the house. It's hard for us to block him in a small area for a long time as he cries a lot. Any other tips without blocking him to a small area??? Thanks! |
I do not have any words of wisdom for you but wanted you to know that I feel bad that this has taken place.. Hang in there he will get back on track Im sure. Joy |
