we just got back today from visiting family and friends in Sault Ste Marie (northern Ontario). My dad brought a boat up so we could take it out on the water and to my SURPRISE Layla had SO much fun!! she LOVED the water and loves boating... although she sleeps the whole time.. so hard to say if she likes it... lol

lots of pictures to come :p

4. we met two other yorkies on the beach.. WHAT ARE THE CHANCES!!!! the boy, who is on the leash and closest to Layla was named Tony and i forget the girls name. He just wanted to get on top of her :( and the girl wasn't crazy about her.. lol.. AND.. allow me to vent.. the first thing the woman said to me was. so is she a toy yorkie... i SAID. um no.. there is no such thing, she is 5 lbs and within the standard weight. so me she says. oh well both of mine are toys (and CLEARLY both of those dogs weighh more than 5 lbs, the boy was really big and the girl was kinda short and large.. lol... so cute) so i said fine and away we went :rolleyes:

i love the swim vest - too cute! I've had the toy yorkie comment myself a couple times this week. What is up with people? I just say that she is a normal sized yorkie or will be when she's all grown up. She's about 4.5 lbs now at almost 6 months so it's not like she's all that small. but you would think another yorkie owner would know better! But your baby is a cutie!

You both look like you had a great time. It looks like there will be more boating in Layla's future. I love the picture of her sleeping in the towel.

Marci, she is so stinking cute! I love her in that little life vest! And getting ready to pounce on that duck! She looks like a little "boating magazine" model with her hair blowing in the wind-reminds me of Emma's "model" pictures she makes me take of her, haha!

What are the chances of running into two yorkies on the beach like that? That's awesome-you should have said, "if those are toy yorkies, what is Layla?!" oh, people! Looks like Layla had a great time making new friends and boating! Thanks for sharing!

marci those pics are GREAT! looks like you both had a fabolous time! love the pic of layla and the duck! she's seems to love hte water just as much as the duck! hahaha.

Then Layla would be a teacup Yorkie. They exist. I know they do, because everyone keeps telling me that Chloe is one. No matter how many times I say they don't & she's not. :rolleyes:

Sooo cute!!!! I love seeing them swim! Glad she had a great time, she is so adorable!:)
