Jake got a haircut!

Last week my hubby and I decided to cut Jake's hair ourselves. It took 3 1/2 hours with breaks here and there, and we STILL could cut lots more off! We need to trim it up a little more so that it's even because now we're seeing uneven spots. Getting him to hold still was the hard part, but the more tired he got, the more he cooperated.

He had ALOT of hair. He weighed 4 lbs. 8 oz. before the haircut and 4 lbs. 4 oz. after lol.

First pic is before
Second and third are after. Don't mind his messy face. My daughter was taking pics and didn't clean his face after he had drank some water.:rolleyes:

What did you use to cut it?

When I used to cut my other yorkie's hair, I just used a good small haircutting scissors. I took the hair between my fingers and cut at that length all over. After a bath and being combed out, there would alwyas be more to trim. I got so I could do it in a couple of hours, with breaks in between. I would work outside on the picnic table so I didn't have hair all over the house.

I'm from Kimbolton. It's between Cambridge and Newcomerstown. If you live near Dover, you should consider coming to the Yorkie meetup I've got set up for August 25th. ;)

I'm in North Royalton, which is pretty much between downtown Cleveland and Akron. I didn't realize there was a meetup in Ohio.

I was right!!! He looks very handsome!!!! I wonder if you could tell me what kind of bed he's in in the first picture. It looks like something Otis would love! I'm so glad your back, give Jake a hug from one of his 2 aunt Paula's!!!

Yep, it's in Dover. You can find the details here in this thread. It's still being planned, but the main details have been made. Hopefully you can attend. It should be a lot of fun. :D

Hey Paula!!! The bed is one of those doggy chairs. I got it from PetSmart, that was one of Jake's birthday presents. He LOVES it! I like it because the cover comes off and is machine washable, and the chair is very sturdy.:)
