Scamp's first hair cut!!! 3 Attachment(s) So I decided to take Scamp in and get him a short hair cut so we could start all over. His hair was in such horrible condition. It was broken, uneven, dull and brittle. This is all from his constantly scratching at his coat when he had that allergic reaction to the shampoo.:mad: I didn't want him completely shaved, so I told the groomer to go short but to leave so length to it. So here are the before pictures. As you can see his hair was pretty long. I was so upset when this happened because his hair use to be so shiny and long and just beautiful.:( I don't know if you can see it in these pictures, but the coat is very dull looking and broken. |
4 Attachment(s) And here are the after pictures.... His hair is pretty choppy but the groomer did a great job for what she had to work with. Some of his hair was 1/4 inch long, some was 1/2 inch, 1 inch, etc. It was just so broken and there is no way she could have evened it all out unless she completely shaved him down and I just couldn't stand the thought of that. So we are starting fresh!! It will take some time for the old ugly hair to grow out into the nice new hair but it will be worth it. I love the last picture, I got him to smile for me!!:D |

He has that cute baby face going on (although you can't see in the pictures that well) This first picture I thought was cute because Scampers is wearing his shirt that says "Here kitty kitty" and of course Peaches was happy to oblige!!:p I was pretty upset at first but I figured it is just hair and it will grow back. And the groomer did a great job it is just the circumstances I wasn't happy about. Thanks for looking, how you enjoyed the pics!!:) |

He sure did have a long, lovely coat... in the afters he sure looks happy & so cute! I'm always amazed how completely different yorkies look when they get a hair cut, it looks like a different dog....:) |

Thanks everyone for the nice compliments!! He does feel a ton better!! It was so hard getting a picture of him when I brought him home because all he wanted to do was run around and play. And he hasn't been itching at all since they bathed him!! His hair is already starting to improve, he is getting that nice silky feel back to his coat!!! So you can definitely say that he is much happier and that he loves his new haircut!!:) |
He looks like a different dog all together!! I know when Reece gets a haircut I dont even recognize him and his hair has never really been very long lol...right now I am trying to grow his out... Dawn |
