Lily was very active today and awake more, so I was playing in the floor with her and letting her walk around. I'm starting to see her personality come out now! She's so cute and has an attitute! lol

The first pic is Lily and Jake. He kinda watches her from a distance, but she likes to get close to him. They were doing some bonding today.:)

The second and third pic are Lily walking around. She can hold her head up better now. At first, she had very little head control...like a newborn baby. Now she has good control and can walk around. She's getting nosey, I love it.:) :)

Looks like Jake is going to be a good big brother. So it looks like Lily has found the MOST perfect home. Loving mom and good big brother. Not sure about what other family member there are but if they love her has much as you and Jake do then her life has been TRULY blessed.
Glad to see you got to bring her home. Keep the pics coming!!!

She hasn't barked yet, but she growled a tiny bit when my daughter was taking pics with her digital camera. I realized she was growling at the flash. Such a cute, tiny little growl!

She has a little frog that Jake gave her, and she loves it. It was so sweet. One day I was sitting here relaxing in-between feedings. I took the lid off her crate so I could watch her closely. Jake was rummaging around in his toy box, which he often does. He got a little frog out and carried it over to the crate and put it next to Lily. It was honestly one of the sweetest things I've ever seen, and of course, I cried! Jake is a good little boy and seems to love Lily already.:) So, Lily seems to like this little frog and chews on it and plays with it a little bit.

She is 6 weeks old and weighs 1 lb. She was just 13 oz. when I got her, but she has been such a good little eater. I was so happy when I weighed her and found that she had gained. I think she may have gained a little bit more, but I'm trying not to weigh her TOO often so I don't get discouraged if she doesn't gain. I'm trying to weigh once a week. But, I'm very pleased with her weight gain so far.:)

Glad to hear she's gaining! How did you come to have her at only 13 oz? It sounds like she is so lucky to have you taking care of her. I bet she will grow up to be big and healthy with you and big brother Jake watching over her! What a beauty!

Thank you. Normally, I would never take a puppy so young and so tiny from her mommy, but Lily's case is special. She has Hydrocephalus. She wasn't getting enough milk from her mom and had to be kept separate from her siblings so that she wouldn't get hurt. So, we decided it was in her best interests if I took her. She continues to gain and is thriving very well, but it's a case of one day at a time with her. She did have a bad night last night and had a hard time today, but she is doing really well again. She needs LOTS of fluids, it's very important, so I'm making sure she gets everything she needs. She's my sweet baby girl.:)

Your babies are adorable! Lily kind of looks like a little bear cub in the first picture...such a little doll!! It sounds like she is gaining and doing well. :) She is a very lucky girl to have you.

I just researched Hydrocephalus on Google b/c I hadn't heard of it before, and I want to wish Lily the best of luck! You are an angel for taking such special care of her! Prayers going your way for continued growth!!!
