Lucy's getting close to 4 months old, and she still had very floppy ears. Although I'll admit the floppy ears are adorable, I wanted her to have the Yorkie look as an adult. I taped up her ears and left them for only a day and a half. Here are her before, during, and after taping photos! :p

after taping, will the ears ever flop back down or is it permanent?
did lucy mind at all? she's definately a cutie.

I don't know if they'll ever flop down again; I've heard that some Yorkies' ears fall back down during teething.

As for Lucy minding, she held still during the entire process and didn't whine while putting the tape on or off. However, she did scratch at her taped ears a lot, but it wasn't too bad. :thumbup:

I love how cute she looks w/the tape on her ears. My son is sitting next to me and he started to laugh saying "look at the Easter Bunny doggy!"

cute ears!!! :) glad it worked for you. one of maggies kinda flops to the side but it gives her a quirky look :) i love it. your baby is very adorable!!!

Could you tell me how to tape ears? What exactly do you use? Btw, she is absolutely adorable! :)

She had just visited the groomer that day, so her hair was cut down pretty short; you might want to trim down the hair around/on the ears to avoid a painful removing of tape.

I made two triangles out of masking tape (I did 3 layers thick of tape so the triangle is stiff and supportive on the ear) and cut them down to fit her ear. After putting the sticky side of the triangle onto the front of her ear, I then took a strip of masking tape and wrapped it around her ear.

I hope that helps... I'm AWFUL at explaining things! :blush08:

Aww, she is sooooo adorable!! She looks great with her ears up!!
I like floppy ears but I love their ears being up, I like the original yorkie look and they are so much easier to take care of then floppy ears.

No, you're not--I got it! Thanks! :) That's so incredible though that they went up so soon! Do you recommend only leaving the tape up there a day or normally longer?
