Chloe's hedgehog friend named Herbie is staying with us this week, Chloe just loves to check Herbie out and he doesnt seem to mind. Herbie has 3 dog siblings so he is very friendly and used to dogs. And of course Chloe loves everybody wether they are furry, non furry, or full of spikes!

Cute pictures...we have a hedgehog, but it is a stuffed one--as a matter of fact it is our 3rd one. My gang love to shake the stuffing out of it--wonder what they'd do with a live one (might not want to know)!

Hedgehogs are so cute! And Chloe looks like she is being such a good friend.

The only hedgehog I have had the pleasure of seeing in person was wandering wild in the front yard of a house in a small village in Switzerland.

I almost bought a Hedgehog several years ago, for some reason I didn't, but I wouldn't mind having one now....too cute!!

No they are pretty dull and they dont stick out or retract or anythign like that. It just like a bunch of hard dull quills kinda like the teeth on a thick comb feel like, it doesnt hurt.

They are not hard at all, its pretty much like taking care of a hampster. Herbie the Hedgehog pretty much burrows and sleeps most of the time.

Herbie belongs to my best friend, she got him at a store in Nebraska while she was on a road trip vacation. Ive seen some serious breeders online that sell hedgehogs (and by serious, I mean they are very precise about bloodlines and standards and all that stuff, just like dog breeders)

Are you serious??? Could someone please explain to me why a bloodline would be important in a hedgehog? I mean, is there a hedgehog club where they show them? I seriously doubt it. Dogs I can understand why, hedgehogs: not so much.

Aww, he is so adorable!! I love hedgehogs!! I have had the chance on several occasions to hold one and they are pretty nice and calm.
I love the first picture of Chloe and Herbie, it looks like she is leaning down to kiss his little nose!!

Awe how cute! I used to have two hedgies, Marilyn Monroe and Lola <3 They were cinnacot and chocolate in color and I loved them soooo much. They are such funny little things~!

I thought I wanted one too and I have seen some for sale locally but after the last time I babysat my friends hedgehog the desire to have one wore off a bit. Yes they are super cute, but they seriously sleep all day (in which they just burrow and hide so you cant see them) and I almost forgot he was even at my house. I like a little more activity from my family members.
