SPA Day for the Ladies!
 

The girls had a spa day yesterday. A spa day at my house means that mommy:

1) massages the dogs with dog massage oil to help ease any stress my girls might be feeling, its tough looking cute all the time :p
2) then I give all the girls a bath, dry them off, comb them out, etc
3) They then get ears cleaned, and teeth brushed of course
4) Penny then get's all her pads and dry patches she has on her elbows I massage paw balm onto them. She is strictly an indoor dog but for some reason she still gets really dry patches on her elbow and her paws dry out and crack :( So I try to help moisturize them.
5) Last but not least, the short-haired gals get thier nails painted. Penny got her nails painted metallic hot pink to match her pretty scarf and Tink got her nails painted gliterry silver to match her rhinestone crystal necklace.
Chloe gets pigtails and gets to be all dressed up, painting her nails would be way too messy so I dont even try! Tink isn’t a big fan of clothing so I don’t usually dress her up just to sit around the house and its too hot for Penny to wear any clothes. But Chloe loves clothes and wears them all the time. Pictured below Chloe is wearing her new pink halter top style sundress mommy made.

I painted my Cocker Tessa's nails red once - it was just awful against her black hair - it looked like blood :confused: :confused: :confused:

Your girls are gorgeous! Sounds like "spa day" in your house is heavenly!

I painted Penny's nail a dark magenta and it sort of ended up looking like that. I usually always do glittery silver but I gave this pink a try with her and I think it worked out good, it doesnt look bloody or anything like that magenta color I had used. I agree that red doesnt work on dogs nail- looks too much like blood therefore scary!

I don't know why, but it really amuses me that Penny's nails are painted.

Too cute. They are soo lucky to have a mommy like you. My mother tried painting Buffy's nails once and she fussed and fussed at her when she was done. Then she disappeared for a few minutes and when she came back the nail polish was gone. Where it went.....we never found out, lol.

LOL, thats too funny. Penny actually sits on her butt and hands me her paws one at a time to let me paint them. She loves it, she loves it anytime shes getting prettied up :p People dont think of Boxers as girly girls but they really can be :p
