Wow, she is a beauty indeed. |
Oh my she is a dollll! Where did you get her name? I guess I'm asking what it means? LOL! It's just different and I like different! |
Love your pup. Thanks for sharing. But I've been through the Spanish to English, Italian to English and French to English dictionaries and can't figure out what Dulcinea del Taboso means. Edit: Nevermind: Google saved the say. Don Quixote! You gotta love Wikepedia's entry on Dulcineau. Sounds like a Yorkie to me! Don Quixote describes her appearance in the following terms: "… her name is Dulcinea, her country El Toboso, a village of La Mancha, her rank must be at least that of a princess, since she is my queen and lady, and her beauty superhuman, since all the impossible and fanciful attributes of beauty which the poets apply to their ladies are verified in her; for her hairs are gold, her forehead Elysian fields, her eyebrows rainbows, her eyes suns, her cheeks roses, her lips coral, her teeth pearls, her neck alabaster, her bosom marble, her hands ivory, her fairness snow, and what modesty conceals from sight such, I think and imagine, as rational reflection can only extol, not compare." [Volume 1/Chapter XIII] |
She reminds me of someone else's beautiful baby on here...I forget who tho:confused: |
She really is beautiful !! How old is she? |
What a total beauty!!! She reminds me a bit of Blondiegirl's little Jewelina, same coloring, similar face. How precious!! :) |
She is gorgeous! |
What a cutie. She looks a little like Cali. Where did you get her as I am in the Chicago area as well? |
Oh - she is beautiful! How old is she? She looks very tiny but her hair is soo long!!! What a little doll! I think she reminds me of "Dan & Corrinne"s girls. |
you do have a gorgeous little queen. She is beautiful, I love those colors. |
Thank you so much. You are right, her full name comes from "Don Quixote." I call her Dulce which means sweetness. I believe since the novel is Spanish, it is translated as sweet lady from Taboso. She is a sweet lady from Chicago, though, lol. I did not get her in Illinois. Dulce came to me from Kentucky. She is 10 months old and pretty small, approximately 2.9 lbs. Her hair is really long. I suppose if I did not take her to the groomer, she would have easily grown a full coat by now. Her hair is probably her best commodity since they are perfectly silky in texture. I also like her eyes because they are huge. She thinks she is a model. Ha ha |
