I am a guy that wanted a dog and my wife did not. She said that I could get a dog only if it was not big and did not shed.
So the search began and the next day I took her to a breeder and she could not resist our now dog Zeek. We brought him home the next day.

I always tell her that I wanted the dog and he does not leave your side. So we have to get another one. We did, she is not a yorkie but a westie named Chloe and guess what she is stuck to my wife like glue also! I can't win.

Don't get me wrong They love both of us and our 3 kids also, but they are always stuck to her side.

So to prove to me that he loves me just as much she took this photo in the middle of the night when she got up to go to the bathroom.

I bet there are almost as many men as women out there who LOVE yorkies, it's just that they aren't brave enough to post on this board! :D

My husband was one of the ones who was a total sceptic the whole time I was wanting a yorkie. And then as soon as I got them.....oooooh my gooooosh....they are HIS BABIES!!!! :D He talks to everyone about them, and loves to take them places all dressed up!

He works in construction, so he takes a bit of razzing over it.....but he loves his girls! :D

Remus, my man, you've got to be very careful around here. Posting the picture of your buffed-out, hot young self was a huge mistake. They will now hound you like schoolgirls looking for a prom date. At the very least, you should have posted a picture of an ugly Yorkie. Now you've got two things working against you.

As for me, I posted a picture of a 50-year-old guy with a paunch and a silly Elmer Fudd hat, and they typically leave me alone.

As for your original question, there are only a handful of guys around here. Most give up because they can't get a word in edgewise. The person who runs this place is a guy, though, so you can always get a sympathetic ear from him if the harrassment continues.

Then again, if you're anything like me, you'll probably love the attention!

Dobiedude...Still waiting to see a picture of something resembling a Yorkie. So far, we've seen nothing that resembles a furbaby....Are you sure you have one or do you just like hanging out here??

NOT pushing a stroller but I have seen a lot of guys in the park with their dogs.....and I think it's the CUTEST thing and (a great way to pick up girls)* shhh :p Central Park is great and BIG!! Everytime my bf is waiting outside a store for me with the dogs so many girls approach him lol

Now look at what you've started? Mike is right, you're gonna be in trouble now. The lack of testoserone (sp?) on this forum most definitely intrigues the ladies here when a man comes along. stick around it'll be fun - to watch and partcipate. ;) btw rocky is a cuutie!

Wow....where can I start.
I thank everyone for warm remarks. I was aware of a low number of Male yorkie owners so, I am not surprised. I understand, most men dont find Yorkies too manly and pass on them due to that notion. But those few who own them, find themselves rewarded every day by this little loving dog.

AS far as posting my picture. I have been a member here for a year or two and just wanted to introduce myself a bit more formally.

I got Rocky as a replacement for Remus after me and my GF parted ways, she took Remus (yorkie) with her. I still love and miss Remus a great deal, but I love Rocky more than anything at this point. Being a single guy with a small yorkie is what made me to start this post.
