Snow agility, pics & a vid

Eddie is back in agility after a 3-month layoff, and last week was a struggle. A big dog pounced on the A frame and scared him. He had been doing well up to then, but he refused to do anything after that.

So out came the agility equipment out of storage to help with his homework. Here are a couple pics and a couple vids. The sound on the vids is particularly bad. I've got a newer, cheaper video camera. :(

Oh, and the swing shot of Jack is to illustrate how much snow we STILL have. There's so much snow, even a Yorkie wouldn't have room to swing.

Eddie is such a trooper and looks like such a tough guy out there!

Once again, just terrific. Love their snow suits and shoes. How cold is it there? The video was wonderful and still laughing at your "so called brat". Smart pup!

Thanks, you guys. I must have made 15 vids before he got it right!

And Deborah, it's still pretty cold. I don't think we've been above 32 all winter.

We'll shoot up to an average of 35 in April. I hope I can find my swimming trunks! By May, the average is 54. Hot, hot, hot!

Thanks for the conversion for those of us who weren't born before our country went metric.

Thanks, but OMG! Don't show the hurdle pic to Dixie! I had to lower it to a measly 4" because it was so slippery out. She will think he's a sissy.

I don't believe I've ever seen snow agility before. :)

I'm assuming Eddie uses the reguar size equipment since you mentioned a big dog.

I switched Prince to teacup agility because he can't concentrate around big dogs - he spends too much time trying to hide from them. He will not go up the teacup A frame. He acts like he is scared to death of it. The regular size A frame was standing along the wall and he ran up and down it without a problem. He even sneaks over to play on it. Talk about a brat!

I really enjoyed the video. I thought it was kind of funny when he stood behind the fence, and wouldn't come out. I think he was teasing you.

I would do that in a second if they had a "teacup" agility up here. Up here, they expect Eddie to do the regular size A frame, etc. He does it, but I'm afraid it's too hard on his little joints. The worst part is the noise. He spooks when a big dog pounds up the A frame or the teeter slams under its weight.

I'm not even sure we'll continue with agility because of those issues. I'm just taking it one week at a time.

Thanks for the comments, everyone. And suzysmitt, yes, I was laughing out loud at some of the "outtakes" we had. It must have taken him 15 tries to do it right.
