Bear Gets A Hair Cut, Mac Gets Scalped 4 Attachment(s) Well if I have learned one thing a groomer I am not:eek: ....but he will grow back out and poor Mac, well lets just say he got the worse end of it:rolleyes: ...when I got him he had a few mats that were just to close to the skin and I tried everything, so I finally decided to go ahead and bite the bullet and cut him really short so he can grow out and not have to worry about any mats...Lexie well lets just say she is the princess untouched:aimeeyork .....:p I just got tried of not being able to see Bear's eyes, he wouldn't wear a topknot if his life depended on it....:D |
4 Attachment(s) here are some before and after pics...Don't worry I am not going to try this at home again....:p |
Well, they are cute anyway. Are all these of Bear? i am afraid to fool with mine all except a little trim on their bangs and butt. i think I am going to have to shave Frankie down. The babies are matting her terrible. i was trying to grow it out. i know if i shave her myself she will end up plum naked.LOL |
Well I honestly think you did a great job and I bet he is much happier now that he doesn't have any matts. He looks great!!!! |

Don't worry, they still look adorable! I had to do the same for Kiba when he was just starting to grow out--his hair was so easily prone to mats and tangles, so I went ahead and cut them off myself. My poor baby had to go through an ugly stage (I have pictures to show for it  ). But hey, whatever makes them comfortable, right? Luckily, now that he's older he has wonderful hair now that never gets tangled or matted. :) |
4 Attachment(s) Hey Dee have you ever seen a dog be half silk and half cotton....look at Bear, from his waist up he is silk and from this waist back he is cotton... Bear is in the front. |
I think you did a good job on grooming him! He is soo cute!:D |
1 Attachment(s) you might not say that after you see how pretty Mac's coat was here he is before I cut him...forgot his before pic of his coat..... |
Oh girl I think Bear looks soooo cute! These are the same pictures you e-mailed me right??? The cut of his face hair really DOES remind me of Stedman! Bear is soooo darn adorable!!!! I just wanna SQUEEZE HIM! He TOTALLY looks like a little teddy bear - his name suits him well! :D I love his cut and I would not change a thing...I think he looks sooo precious :D   |
i think you did a great job! your underestimating yourself! |
I think they look adorable!! And I bet they feel much better too!! I had to cut my cocker this weekend, have to shave her completely down. We went on a walk on one of the very few nice days we had and she ended up coming home with lots of burs in her hair. I have no idea where they came from. But they were stuck in her hair good, no way were they coming out without being shaved off. So I had to cut off all of her hair. She looks horrible with her hair so short, I miss her long hair that made her a beautiful cocker, all those curls are gone.:( It is not that the cut is bad, it is all even and everything but when you go from long hair to short it is such a dramatic change that you think it looks horrible and takes time to get used to. On the upside, Peppi's hair grows fast so her hair should be back to normal in a month!! |
Thanks guys, I know Mac feels better, Bear just had his face cut down, but Bear has enough hair for 3 dogs, I am still thinking about cutting his body down, Mac goes out side and has a big time now, and comes in with nothing attached to him, grass, leaves, and things, poor Bear always has to find the leaves, twigs and stuff and takes me forever to get them out, so he might be getting cut down...they might not look as good, but I can tell you its alot easier to take care of....:p |
They're both adorable! :) |
I think they look cute:) |
