Grooming We have not taken our pup for grooming yet. She is almost six months old and I have been keeping her combed and snip off the occasionaly knot she gets in her fur/hair. When should she go? She is a family pet and will not be a show dog but I do want her fur to look nice. Luke's Mom |
The groomers recommend starting very early to get the puppies used to the grooming process and being handled by strangers. Gracie went for her first grooming at about 6 1/2 months, and is scheduled for her second next Monday. She seemed to like her first grooming experience and she looked and smelled so pretty! I would suggest doing your research and finding a great groomer, and get your baby in sooner rather than later. |
I'm not fond of paying $70.00 plus each month to have one dog groomed and I have two Yorkies.......so that would double. Mine have never been to a groomer except for nail clipping, and now I just file their nails with a heavy duty emery board instead. Could you just do the hair cuts yourself? |
