I've heard they can go into heat as young as 5 months and since this Tuesday she'll be 4 months old I figured I'd have some of these on hand just in case. She currently weighs 1 pound 10 ounces and hasn't gained anything in some time now though she eats like a horse! :eek: She is entirely too little to spay right now, even the vet said she was too small. Hopefully she will hit a growth spurt and get bigger soon. I'd like her to be at least 3 pounds...
My girl is about 7 lbs, but I kept thinking that I had time w/her because she wasn't showing any of the signs of getting close to her heat and I read somewhere that it could be up to a year before girl pups would go into heat, then BAM there the signs were. Anyhow, didn't mean to hi jack your topic :) hehe

She is way too cute!!! Pink is her color:D When you dont want her anymore my house will always be open:p :rolleyes:. I love her little face!!!!

Jewelina is such a doll . . . and I could stare at her face all day long and NOT get tired of her. She is a darling model too and she sure knows IT. And of course, she's got a great butt to show off those adorable panties :p :)

My annika is going on 12 months and she just had her first heat about 3 weeks ago. I never thought to make them until someone had begged me to, bless her heart. Her baby is now is my permanent model (Morgan). I must say what a blessing it is to have it handy. Because they are so adorably cute, I did not want them messed up :rolleyes: , so when I slapped it on her I made sure I cut out a small strip of always thin pads to go inbetween and I tell because of their size, it is good enough to hold the dripping . . . not much really and because they are so thin, it won't make them uncomfortable, but it'll same you having to keep throwing it in the washer :)

Oh, no worries, I didn't think you hijacked my thread. LOL I was interested in the info, thank you for sharing! I am hoping Jewelina won't go into heat for a long time! Or at least until she is big enough to be spayed. And the idea of that is scary enough for me but I know it'll be better for her health in the long run so I'm going to force myself to do it. I'm the biggest worrier though and if they have to go under it totally freaks me out :(

Ok, I'll remember that! I might send her to you on those days when she's running around in circles at nascar speeds and attacking every toy in sight! and destroying her room! LOL

Oh, thank you Des! She is something else, let me tell you. Loves attention and the more of it the better. I think she was born for the camera, she certainly loves being in it enough!
I hope Jewelina makes it to 12 months before she goes into heat...I'm hoping I'll be able to have her spayed before she does but I want to wait until she is big enough to do it.

Morgan is just adorable and what a great idea her Mommy had! She deserves a big :thumbup:!!

That's a great idea about the pads! I never would've thought of that! I will definetly do that if she goes into heat before she can get spayed.

My Caddo's "undies" are coming soon - I'll have to take some pics of him in them :p and Pixie... hers are just solid blue, but I can take pics of those, too! I really wish I had my sewing machine and more time... I'd have a blast making them clothes.... maybe someday. For now, it's probably best that I *don't* have my machine :p I'd fall way behind in my studies, I'm sure lol

Still, Jewelina's a doll. Absolutely beautiful.

Yeah, I thought Emmie was small at 5, then 7 lbs now and I wanted to wait. I've heard though that waiting for the first heat to happen *then* spaying isn't necessarily a bad thing. Emmie still isn't actually in heat.. but he said it could happen w/in the next few weeks and would want to wait it out to see. I'm sure your girl will be able to wait till she's bigger before she goes into heat -- I've seen some dogs that are even longer than 12 months before their first :)

Jewelina is so tiny, she's expected to be between 3 to 3 and 1/2 pounds but has only gained a few ounces since I got her. I don't get it because she eats SO much! At least a 1/2 cup a day! She does run around like mad though, I guess she just burns all of her calories up! LOL I wish I had her metabolism!

Awe what a cutie!!! I always love your pups pics because they're so stylish and have the sweetest faces! I can't wait to get a purebred yorkie this summer.. I want a girl to be around 4ish lbs. Right now I have two yorkie mixes and a lhasa mix. I just ordered some Go Fetch panties tonight along w/the vest jacket and leash set that was on sale.. I can't wait to get it all! :)

Oh thank you! :o I think 4 pounds is a good weight. My boy is 4 pounds and is still very small, everyone things he's a puppy :rolleyes: but he's actually 2 years old. He's not too tiny where I am always worried about him getting hypoglycemia or jumping off a one foot stair but he's still tiny enough to be my "baby boy" :) Jewelina is so petite and dainty sometimes and then other times she is a force to be reckoned with. She moves SOOO fast it's like she's on a sugar high or something. LOL

You will love your stuff from Des! I just got two of the vest jackets on sale as well! Amazing deals! Jaden has several of her hoodies and as soon as Jewelina gets bigger she's going to get one too!
