He's so cute! I was going to name mine Bailey...it was on my list of names...but Izzy just fit him too well!;)

Mines are Missy and Boots. I bought Missy when she was 6 months and that was her name, so i just kept it because it s excatly what she is. My Husband named Boots because he said if we couldnt call her Boots he wasnt paying for her.lol:)

I forgot to mention nicknames for Izzy: Iz, Izbo, pumpkin & sleepy (the breeder gave him this name and it fits!):p

My baby came from the breeder with the name Hannah so that is what we call her but her registered name is The Song Of Hannah. It comes from the book of the book of Samuel. In the book of Sameul Hannah tried to have children for years and then she prayed for god to give her a son and she said if he would give her a son she would give it back to the lord for all the days of his life, so god gave her a son and when he was a little older she took him to live with the priests to serve the lord-as she promised-and there she said a prayer to the lord, some call it Hannahs prayer but some call it The Song Of Hannah.

My girl's name is Momiji.
It is Japanese name and it means Japanese Maple leaf or autum leaf.
She was born in Autum(September) and also yorkie color always changes so I name her Momiji.
I call her Momi for short!!!
And it is easier for my parents to call her in Japanese name than some American name!!! (My mom doesn't speak English at all. They live in Japan but they are planning to visit me this summer to baby sit my girl while my work will be sooooo busy!!!) :D

My yorkie's name is Pixie Dust. Or Pixie or Pix for short. Sometimes we do weird variations like Pixie Dixie, but as long as she hears "Pix" she knows it's her :p

I wanted to name Brandi........April (she was born 4/12/06 (the day before my birthday) but my kids didn't like it.......than I came up with about 50 other names.......and no one would agree to a name........so finally I just said I'm naming her Brandi......and if you don't like it TOO BAD :-) I have a lot of nicknames for her......BranFlake, Flying Brandini, BranStinkOWitz....and I'm sure there are a few more that just aren't coming to my mind right now

:) I've enjoyed reading all of your stories. No interesting stories here. Ginger lived with us for a few days and we kept changing her name...finally, dh said "Ginger" and it stuck! Bernie came to us from rescue with his name, and it seemed to fit, so we kept it.

I kind of like the way Ginger and Bernie sounds

this thread is fun, its nice to see where people get inspiration for their pups' names .... i know for me it took WEEKS before i finally stuck to one. lol

My girl's name is Ms. Porkchop but we call her Porkie.......Porkie the Yorkie. I'm a teacher and have a somewhat difficult to pronounce Hungarian last name, especially for a child in Kindergarten. Long story short, a boy in my class just couldn't get my name right, he was certain it was "Ms. Porkchop." So, when we got our Yorkie we thought it'd be cute to name her that. :)

Mine are:

1.Ninna Marie = Ninna is little girl in Portuguese and Marie is my daughter's second name (her mommy)

2. Tiffany Bachi = Tiffany because she is like a precious jewel to us and Bachi after the little Italian chocolate candy..;)

My son named Jeter after Derek Jeter of the NY Yankees. He is a huge fan. And I named Sky after the Saturn sports car. (I work for Saturn)

My little one is Archibald Snookums. Archie for short. Archibald was the middle name of a beloved family toy poodle, Cocoa Archibald, who escaped or was stolen from my parents' yard about 12 years ago. The whole family was heartbroken, so by naming my baby Archibald, it's a little tribute to the darling little dog we lost. Snookums has no significance other than he is just my little "snookums!"

Our little girl is named Baby Blessing, she turned a year old last Sept.29th, it was so difficult to come up with a name after we lost our Cassie Nov. 5th. 05, we made the decision to get another and on
Dec. 9th.05 the Lord led us to her and what a Blessing she was to come into our lives, she will always be our Baby Blessing :) we are planning to get another little girl playmate for her, most likely won't be till about June and then our next little girl we will name Tanzanita and for short call her Tanzie or Zanita. I came up with the name on my own, as I want it to be something different and have had enough time to come up with a name. Thank you for starting this thread, very interesting to read all the other posts.

my babys name is bella.....most know it means beautiful in italian, and since my whole family is italian it just fit for her....i didnt realize it was such a popular name...but i love it anyways.....we call her bella bear now...bc she is my little teddy bear!!!:D
