New to the site...and new Yorkie puppy Linus 3 Attachment(s) Hey all! I am a new yorkie owner, and a yorkie fancier for many years. This is the first picture of my 3 month old baby Linus. I do have a question. Is it common for the hair on their heads to come in white/gray before it comes in tan? He looks a little bald, as the picture will explain. Thanks so much. |
Hi there, welcome to TY!!! Ok, his hair was tan and is now turning gray correct? He wont have tan on top of his head, it will be greyish. |
No his hair was black and now it's kinda grayish white at the roots. But it's only on the top. Everywhere else on his face is coming in tan. |
He is so cute!!! Well that sounds about right. Lily was black and tan and now is turning gray at roots also. The rest of her is still black and tan. |
That makes me feel better. Everyone who looks at him asks if he's losing his hair from some disease. I personally love him no matter what he looks like (even bald). |
Welcome to YorkieTalk! Your boy is sooo cute! Your going to have a lot of fun with him, I'm sure! |
Thank you all so much. You are so sweet!!!! :) |

he is a sweetie, and looks inqusitive like a Linus. i love that name. Bridget has the light hair to, I was told it was good she was breaking color so early. |
Cute little baby, yes its normal for him break colour, ive been told that the sooner they start the better, it can "look" bald but hes not losing hair ;) |
Welcome to YorkieTalk! Your baby is gorgeous. I think the changing color is pretty much normal ... Toto's did the same thing and hers is still thin on top of her head! ;) |
Welcome to YT, Linus is adorable and I love his name! I too think the grayish color is pretty normal. Hercules went through that stage. |
Welcome to YT . Linus is very beautiful . |
Welcome to you and little Linus! He is a cutie! |
