Hi everyone. My name is Laura and I found this site yesterday. Wow! What a wealth of information.
Our family has included Sweety (named by my, then, 5 year old son) for three years now. She is a little bucket of personality. We love her so much!
It's great to find so many others that have the same mentality as us.
We don't do the show thing, nor are we breeders. We just have a little girl that keeps us snuggled and loved.
She is such a joy to us. She protects the children to the point of attacking anyone that even pretends to hit them. She attacks anyone that even pretends to mess with her "boyfriend". The boyfriend is actually her little lambskin type bed. She loves to fetch, dance for treats, play tug of war, sit, laydown and mostly snuggle under the covers at night. She plays with her kitty sister quite well. I honestly can't say she doesn't bite, but I can say it doesn't hurt!
Well enough about her for now. I'm way past sleepy from reading these boards til the wee hours of the morning and then all day just about!
Here she is..no bath no pretties, just plain ole Sweety as she is everyday.

Y'all are a bunch of snobs! NOT! What a warm, pleasant welcome. And fast! How do you all keep up??!? Bear with me while I get my running shoes on here. I've read many of your stories, in fact, so many that I get them confused in my head right now. The stories of loss and heartbreak have had me hurting so much for the poor babies and thier families. Oh, how grateful I am that Sweety has been a healthy, happy girl. She does scare me with her batman act (jumping from our arms) sometimes.
The announcements of additions and baby pictures had me hunting frantically yesterday for some of Sweety's baby pictures. (They are on disk somewhere around here!) You all have some absolutely adorable babies!
I have laughed til I needed to run to the drugstore for depends at some of the posts....the one where the girl gets mad and takes her darling home because she caught her sister being intimate with her dog in the room. OMG! My whole house thought they needed to call mental health for me with that one!
I loved the one where folks are posting pictures of thier "not so perfect", perfect babies, and the one of all the little babies.
I've enjoyed reading with great interest the baby watch threads in the breeding section.
Oh.. there was another one..can't remember the name now. A little video link where he is doing his tricks. That was SO cute!
Already, I'm learning SO much! I never thought about not having a collar on my little girl...tracheal collapse?? How horrible is that?? BTW, she never has worn a collar.

Thank you all for the super nice comments and welcome. I still ended up sitting here for hours yesterday looking at more and more of the posts. So many stories and information. I recognise many of your names from posts read, but am having a hard time with putting the name to what I've read. Give me time, please.
Oh.. and the links to some of your websites and stuff. I love em! Someone had one to vote on her babies..rate them a 10 or something. I did!
It's great to see the vastness of our interests, all loved and all treasured.

And Bella, oh yes girl. I'll be emailing you this coming week to see if we can work something out to meet up. Sweety and I would love it. She even agreed to a much hated bath if she got to meet a new friend.

Y'all. I've never owned a Yorkie before this and I'm sure I've done a million things wrong. I never mind constructive critisism in the least.

Well I posted a big ole long winded reply this morning, and it seems to have just Poofed into outter space... Maybe I was tooooo long winded.

I just wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone for such a warm welcome!

I'm STILL sitting here reading. I have just got to stop and get some Mommy/Wifey/Homey stuff done! :D

Someone mentioned "snob".. I can't imagine anyone thinking anyone here is that!

I've tried to keep up with the posts..how DO y'all do it? Give me a little time and I'm sure you will all wanna tie my fingers up.
