Post from a newbie... 1 Attachment(s) Hello all! I actually found out about this site through chinesecrestedcrush.com, as I'm the proud owner of a puppy-mill rescue dog that's a Chinese Crested Hairless / Yorkie cross. She was about 3 months old when I got her, and pretty much has a yorkie head with a hairless body. I figured since she's half'n'half I'd be welcome at both sites. ;) Anyway, just wanted to do an introduction (with a pic of course, I know what this forum is for, hehe) on behalf of myself and "Vixxi." I'd like to point out first that although she is a hybrid, I do *not* promote the breeding of 'designer dogs' or anything of the sort. I got her as a rescue dog and have her simply because she's a beloved pet. That said, she's also a 'model' on dogbreedinfo.com, and I submitted her photo simply for informational purposes, again, not to promote the crossbreeding. http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/c/crustie.htm But anyway, enough formal stuff; I'm a 20 year old veterinary assistant and graphic artist living with the love of my life Jake in a two story house with numerous pets, including two other mutts which we found abandoned on a highway. Can you tell we're softies? Anyway, I look forward to getting to know the rest of you and becoming a regular here on this site; it looks like a fabulous place for great information. I wish more people would do what you have done. what a cutie you have. welcome to YT. one good thing about having the hairless body is you don't have to worry about matting. ;) it is also nice to have a vet tech as a member here. you wont' be asking as to which vet to take her to.:D make your self at home and jump right in. |
