Im New Here :o) Here Is My Baby Abigale
 

:) HI MY NAME IS MONICA AND THIS IS MY BABY GIRL ABIGALE. SHE IS 8 MONTHS OLD AND THE LOVE OF MY LIFE :) :) SHE IS MY FIRST YORKIE (I HAVE A BOXER WHO IS 11 YEARS OLD AND A YORKIE/LHASA APSO MIX 10 MONTHS) I LOVE THEM ALL BUT LITTLE ABBY IS SO SPECIAL!
WHEN I ADOPTED HER SHE WAS THE MOST OUTGOING IN HER LITTER AND WAS GREAT FOR ABOUT 5 DAYS BUT I COULD SEE HER GETTING WEAK, COME TO FIND OUT SHE WAS HYPOGLYCIMIC (SP?) SO TWICE SHE HAD TO HAVE IV'S. WELL SHE STILL WAS NOT GETTING BETTER SO THEY GAVE HER A BLOOD TEST TO TEST HER LIVER......ALL WAS FINE WITH THAT BUT BECAUSE SHE WAS SO SICK AND ONLY WEIGHED 1 POUND WHEN THEY TOOK BLOOD TO DO THE TEST IT MADE HER EVEN WEAKER! SO THE NEXT DAY THEY GAVE HER A BLOOD TRANSFUSION.
FOR THE NEXT 3 1/2 WEEKS I FED HER EVERY 2 HOURS WITH A DROPPER MORNING AND NIGHT, SHE JUST HAD NO DESIRE TO EAT, DRINK, PLAY OR ANYTHING. THE VET AND ALL MY FAMILY REALLY DID NOT THINK SHE WAS GOING TO MAKE IT...BUT I WAS DETERMINED TO DO ALL I COULD TO HELP HER.......WITH LOTS OF LOVE AND MAKING HER EAT AND DRINK..........SHE FINALLY STARTED TO PERK UP.....THAT WAS THE LONGEST 3 1/2 WEEKS FOR ME! BUT SOOOOOOOOOO WORTH IT!!!!! NOW SHE IS FULL OF LIFE AND A GO GETTER! :) :) :) AND THE BEST LAP DOG EVER :) :) HERE IS MY LITTLE GIRL ABBY :) http://img.clubphoto.com/jerboa/1612...null/image.jpg

Carol My Abigale Is Now 1 Pound 9 Oz. Dont Know How Much More She Will Grow She Is 8 Months Old Now. She Is So Much Fun. My Yorkie Mix Buster Is 6 Pounds But Abigale Can Hold Her Own :)

OH I FORGOT TO ASK......IS THERE A POST SOMEWHERE THAT SHOWS ME HOW TO POST PICTURES ON HERE? AND IN MY AVIATOR? I HAVE CLUB PHOTO BUT I SEE SOME CAN'T SEE THE PICTURE. :confused:

Ohhhh Abby is just so so precious! I'm so glad you found YT! This is truly the greatest forum ever!

I have a friend that has the same exact story as you have, she almost lost her baby girl. she had to feed her every 2 hours to keep her alive and it worked!

Like I told my friend, If Abby would have wound up in someone elses care, she may not be here! I think it was meant to be, You are a truly wonderful Yorkie mom! Like her always, and Love her forever!

:welcome4: :welcome4: Glad to hear your baby made it through a very rough time for both of you. Hope you post more pics. She is soooooooo cute!:)

I'm relatively new to YT also, so WELCOME! - from one newbie to another! ;) I'm sure you already have it, but I thought I'd ask just in case....do you use Nutri-Cal? Huck had some problems with hypoglycemia when he first came home, and the Nutri-Cal was a lifesaver - literally! He's 10 mths, but even now I still keep it on hand, and I still have to use it every so often. Any type of extremely traumatic or stressful experience will cause a sudden drop in his blood sugar level (thus, causing him to become hypoglycemic), and Nutri-Cal is the only thing that works. With your little gal staying so small and having a history of hypoglycemia, I would recommend always having some handy, even when you're away from home and even if she hasn't had a hypoglycemic attack in awhile.

NOW SHE EATS NUTRO ULTRA AND I DO KEEP THE NUTRI CAL ON HAND JUST IN CASE.:thumbup:
