Introducing our Yorkie boy "Teddy" 1 Attachment(s) I'm new to this but thought I would jump in here and give this a try. I would like to introduce our Yorkie boy Sir Theodore...better known as "Teddy". He is 14 weeks old today and since he has wiggled his way into our lives we have fallen madly in love with him. This is the first little boy Yorkie I have lived with so I could use some advice as to what to use on this little guys topknot. I had him to the vet this week who groomed his face for me and she said he is going to need something to tie up his hair on the top of his head but she didn't know what mommies use on their little boys. Does anyone have suggestions? |
Welcome to yorkietalk! Teddy is adorable! Im not sure what to use on boys hair bc I have 2 girls but I use just the tiny rubberbands, you buy them at walmart or any place like that by all of the hair accessories! |
Aaawww what a sweet little boy!! :) I use the very small scrunchies on my little boy. Usually a little more "manly" colors like blue, green, etc. Oh and welcome to YorkieTalk!!! |
Oh my goodness!!!!!!!!! Teddy is absolutely ADORABLE!!!!!! And Teddy is such a fitting name...he looks like a little teddy bear! I have a boy but I just keep the hair on top of his head short...not topknot or ponytail for him. Sorry I can't help you there. |
WOW what a cute! His name suits him so well! |
Awwwwwww Teddy is truly adorable! WElcome to YT! I know I love blue bows or hairclips to secure a topknot on little furboys. As long as the hair bow isn't pink it's manly enough for them:p ! Also, a simple hair rubberband would work too:) |
welcome to YT :) Teddy is sooo cute :) |
Thanks! Thanks for the suggestions...I never even thought about the tiny rubberbands or scrunchies in manly colors that would work just fine. Will be a while before he needs them as his hair isn't quite long enough yet but is getting there. The picture was taken before he got his face groomed but he still looks like a little teddy bear. I think the little girl babies are so cute with their ribbons! I am happy to be a part of YorkieTalk and will be visiting frequently as I have already found answers to a lot of my questions here. Thanks again for your comments and suggestions! :yorkiesar |
Oh my, he is absolutely adorable!!! He really looks like a little stuffed toy. As for the topknot, I use either plain elastics or tortoise shell-colored miniature butterfly clips on Jackson. I did get some red holiday bows for the Christmas season though. I agree with the others -- as long as they aren't pink or clearly girly looking, I think the boys can wear almost as much as the girls. |
I use tiny elastic bands I got at www.lawdogbows.com . They also have cute boy bows there. By the way your Teddy is a cutie |
 Teddy is gorgeous .... I love that sweet little face! :p Welcome to YT and thank you for sharing your little man with us. Our Toto [girl] has a short cut except for her face and wears a topknot all the time. I don't use bows very often, just bands. Her hair breaks easily and I found that the little "Ouchless" bands from Wal-Mart work best for her and they come in lots of different colors. Hope you enjoy the forum and we look forward to getting to know little Teddy! ;) |
I use latex bands on my guy's hair as it does not pull and get as tangled as rubber bands. Here is a link if you want to buy some, they are really great! https://www.laineeltd.com/cgi-bin/la...ds?LqpuTQzf;;8 |
He is a cutie! Congrats! |
he's gorgeous! you could use those little bands you can get from beauty supply stores and stephaniet73 on ebay makes really nice/cute bows and they don't cost a arm & a leg! |
OMG He is adorable!!!! Welcome to YT!!!! |
