Yesterday was one of my worst as a Yorkie owner. The vet told me he believed Eddie had knee problems that could eventually require surgery. I pulled him out of his Agility class and started bracing for the worst.

Then YT came to the rescue. Warm wishes, prayers and concern got me feeling better, and you know what? It helped Eddie too!

Today, he woke up walking on all four legs. I called the vet, and he said that was good news but not to let him overdo it.

Then a package came in the mail from our new best friend in Scotland, Juliealfies mum (Julie). She sent the boys hand-made and WARM jumpers, and they arrived the day of our first snowfall. They fit perfect, the boys look great in them and they really seem to like them.

We went on a wonderful walk, and the hardest part was keeping Eddie from running, something I failed at miserably because he was so happy to be in the snow. Jack got a little cold after a while, so I popped him in the fleece carrier that Oscar's Mom made for him. He was toasty in minutes and ready to go back out into the cold.

Thanks again everyone. Life is looking much better today. Here are some pics. My apologies for the leg-lifting shot. But not only does it show him putting his full weight on his bum left-rear leg, it shows how he can pee freely in his new jumper! The last is a snow smile from Eddie. I'll have to post that on the next post.

That is so sweet. I am glad that eddie is doing better today. I am also a little jealous. I wish we had some snow here.

The sweaters are adorable on them, the pictures are great and the news is awesome! Do you have to take him back in to get re-examined or x-rayed perhaps? I sure hope he has no problems EVER AGAIN. He deserves to be that happy go lucky little bugger he is running through the snow!

Those are some good looking jumpers and they look great on Eddie and Jack. It's good to see that Eddie is feeling better...look at that smile! :D

I'm so glad to hear that Eddie seems to be back to normal. Let's keep praying this is for the long-term and the vet was wrong!!! The boys look toasty in their new sweaters and enjoying the snow fall. Please keep the snow up there!!

Good!!! The sweater's are gorgeous and the boys handsome! ;) We will certainly keep up the prayers for EdMan and I know he will continue to improve! His improvement is such wonderful news! :p

BTW .... love the pics .... especially the one peeing and showing off how well that "bad" leg is doing! :cool:

Yeah, the plan now is to bring him back in 3 months and have him X-rayed again to see if there's any change. He had a good day yesterday, too good. It's hard to stop him from wanting to run, run, run. I'm supposed to call the vet today and discuss what kind of activity he can have in the short term.

I'm happy Eddie is doing better, just in time so he can enjoy the snow he loves so much!

I'm glad to hear some good news!! Eddie and Jack look like they're having a BLAST in the snow!! Codie and Tia send them kisses!! :D

Julie is just amazing!! She made 4 beautiful sweaters for my Cali girl. Her work is awesome and the quality is incredible. She's so generous!! :D

Glad you like the sweater's if I had realised that Eddie had bother with his leg ,I would have made him matching leg warmers!!

Well I sure hope he has a full recovery and a PERFECTLY HEALTHY diagnosis. I know....a vet saying to "limit activity" for a Yorkie is like telling someone to go on living, but "don't breath" .:confused: Remember, if you HAVE to confine him, it is for his own good and in no way is considered neglect or abuse. Keep us posted.

LOVE The snow smiles - that's a perfect description of that face ....The boys look SO cute in their new clothes and that snow looks so awesome - considering I have shorts on - i really think I could cope with it - but not as long as you guys have winter...brrrrrrrrrrr !!!

and Julie - you ROCK too girlfriend - what a really nice thing to do. (I got to talk to Julie on the PHONE YESTERDAY - Whooo hooo does she sound CUTE on the phone with that pretty Scottish Accent .....Julie - it was GREAT to hear your voice and I enjoyed talking with you -
