Oh, are you nervous? Sophie will be getting spayed in a few months and I am already dreading it. It is best for them though. Hope she does well. :shocked7q |

I was warned by one vet that some vets "save costs" by not using an assistant when they do surgery. They try to monitor the vitals and do the surgery all at once. Make sure you insist on enough staff for your dog's safety. Are you having the laser or traditional? You might ask about his equipment and whether it is state of the art and operating properly. I know this sounds "picky" and maybe paranoid, but if you act this concerned they will take extra precautions that your baby gets A+ treatment! |
thank you for the information. yes, i am nervous but not as nervous as i thought i'd be b/c our other dog just got neutered 2wks ago at the same place and everything went fine. they sent him home the next day with some pain meds and is back to normal now. he had to stay over night, but since nala is having hers done friday i get to bring her home(they do surgery early on fridays) so i'm going to rent some good movies and be lazy all weekend with my baby. i feel a little more reasured since nala is a larger yorkie, around 9 or 10lbs. even though she is bigger "than most" should i still be concerned about collapsed trachea? |
