My Chocolate Yorkie Poo

Hi,

I am new to YT, this is my first post but I have been lurking the boards for a while now. Well we just got a yorkie poo 2 weeks ago and we absolutely love her. She is the only girl in the family so she is spoiled. Her name is Coco, I did not realize how common that name was. We thought we were being original, LOL. She is a chocolate yorkie poo ,(hence the name COCO) after doing research on her color we realized she was a chocolate. She has a liver colored nose, lips, paws and light brown eyes. She is starting to show white roots on the top of her head.

Is anyone familiar with any chocolate yorkie poos, I thought they were only in purebred yorkie. Now I know in reality she is a mutt but I prefer it that she is referred to a mixed breed. Her mom is a purebred tiny AKC apricot poodle and dad is purebred AKC standard color yorkie. She currently weighs 2.6 lbs. and is 3 mths. old. Everyone please welcome Coco...............

Hi, I have a yorkipoo as well her name is Nelly. I prefer to call her mixed as well. She looks alot like yours, Nelly is one now, here is a picture of her on her first birthday. Yes, we had the party, the cake, the presents and the guests. The dogs and the kids seemed to have had a great time.

Coco is soooo adorable!!! And I love her colors!!!!

When you are mixing two different breeds like yorkies and poodles, the puppies can come out to be a wide range of different colors, you are never guaranteed what the pups are going to look like until they are born. I have seen just about every color on yorkiepoos.
My yorkiepoo has alot of chocolate coloring on her, you can't see it in any of her pictures though. For whatever reason that your Coco is chocolate, she is so pretty and her colors are gorgeous as well.

Hi,Thank you everyone for the warm welcome. I have learned so much from the board, everyone is so kind and lovin.Yes I was surprised that she was a chocolate. For anyone who is familiar with this color does it change when they get older? I'm noticing white roots coming in on top of her head.

Val your Nelly is adorable, she looks alot like a yorkie, interesting how you just don't know what they will look like. Does Nelly have silky hair or cottony? My Coco has somewhat in between and its wavy, not curly at all but just a little wave to it.
