Potti-Training 1 Attachment(s) Hello everyone, I am new here and very happy to join the community. I am a proud owner of a Male 5 month old Yorkie. His name is BANJO. He is very good on peeing on his paper and pad  but does not seem to understand that he can also poo there too. I see him cicling and getting ready to poo on the floor, quickly pick him up to deposit him on the paper and he holds it in. He moves off the paper and does it on the floor. Anyone have suggestion's. |
Welcome to YT!!! Banjo is absolutely precious. My only suggestion would be that next time he poos on the floor, take it outside and put it in the grass where you want him to start going. The next time he has to go take him straight to it and it should help train him to go there. If you are wanting to train him strictly to the pads, then do the same thing, just put it on the pad. I know it might be a little stinky for a while, but you've got to do something!!! Good luck. |
Welcome to YT. Your baby is gorgeous. Is there one particular spot that he likes to poop? Mine had their favorite spots, so I put the pee pads where they wanted to go and then gradually moved them to where I wanted them to be. If they went back to the original spot, I put their bed or toybox over the spot. They eventually got the message My kitchen looked like a disaster area for a few months, with pee pads and toy boxes ad beds all over, but it worked. |
I do the same thing! My house is a big mess right now!!!!:) Quote:

i did that too. lexi would go right next to her pad , so i put toys in that spot and now she goes where she should.. maybe put the poo on the pad |
Welcome aboard! Banjo is adorable! |
Wecome to Yt... I have a 5 onth old too. I am glad to hear my house is not the only one that has baby dog stuff every where... gates, toys, dog food dishes, and blankies and crates... Dog beds... I think my house was less cluttered when I had my children!!! |
