Bath Time Where do you bathe your Yorkie(s)? Tub or sink? I have only done it once on my new baby, and the sink was too small. I think the tub is too big. Thanks. Kate |
I bathe Gucci in the bathtub. Now she learns to jump out. So i cant even turn one sec cause she is out of there, lol  :D |
I bath chelsey and Chester in the laundry tub. It is very convienient. |
I use the bathtub, but I end up getting soaked, too, because he's learned to jump out & I have to keep hold of him the whole time. The upside to using the tub is that I can get the bath done in 1/2 the time because we have a hand-held shower nozzle which gets the rinsing done much faster. |
I bathe Bella in one side of our kitchen sink, but she is still little!! She doesn't try to get out anymore but she doesn't exactly like it either, she tolerates it |
Definitely the kitchen sink!! Assures the kitchen gets sanitized every week!! Some people object ... my rationalization is ... MY house, MY sink, MY Yorkie!!! When we ever stay at our home long enough we will do some remodeling and it includes enlarging the laundry room to include a neat "grooming station" for Toto!! ;) |
I bath Cordelia in the tub even though it is way too big, but the sink it too small for me to handle her. |
I use the kitchen sink. It seems a little easier, since I'm standing while doing the bathing. Today's actually bathing day at our house!! |
I usually bathe Hallie in the kitchen sink since she is smaller than Simon and Simon in the bathtub. Lately Hallie has figured out how to jump in the tub when I'm bathing Simon and they play in the water. It takes me all afternoon to get them clean ;) I bought one of those hand-held sprayers at Petsmart and don't know how I lived without it, it is wonderful and makes rinsing so much better! |
I also use the kitchen sink :) Yesterday was grooming day and then my kitchen was sanatized. I find it easier on my back than the bathtub, which I have tried. I also feel like I have a better hold on Tia in the sink (she's squirmy!) |
i use the bathtub.... i could use the sink i guess, but toby likes to be free to move and play with the water |
I use the bathtub. The laundry tub's water pressure is too high. I have a detachable head with a hose that I can use to rinse him. He stands up when he's in the tub, trying to get out, which makes it easier for me to wash him. |
We bathe Sully in the bathtub, because we have a detachable shower head that we bring down and can use directly on him. :D If we used the sink....he'd jump out, lol. |
I use the kitchen sink. Today was bath day! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...r/100_0233.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...r/100_0232.jpg |
Today is bath day at our house and last weekend I had three in the laundryroom sink! It is deep so they can't jump out! Heh Heh! I'll take some pictures and post them. |
I bath mine in the bath tub. I have a detachable shower head. Rudy loves to take a bath he will jump in the tub. When I had my older yorkie I started putting a towel in the tub so he wouldn't slip. I read on one of your post she might have knee problem so that might help so she doesn't slip. |
I bathe Sebastian in the tub :) |
I use the tub.. our sinks are really shallow so they don't fit in there very comfortably. |
Bathtime at the Teals 3 Attachment(s) Here we were today with three yokries in the sink! |
Kim Your babies look adorable, so cute. How can u manage bathing the 3 of them at the same time? wow :aimeeyork :aimeeyork :aimeeyork |
I had all three of my daughter helping me. One took pctures and the other two handles the two other dogs while I did Hefner! It was fun! |
Oh, I love the idea of using the laundry room sink....I'll have to keep that in mind! |
I use the tub,,, easier ,, and not as messy , when he does the DREADED shake... !! |
Bathtub then bathroom sink to comb through the conditoner then its back into the bathtub to rinse out! |
We used to bathe our Honey in the kitchen sink with me bathing her and my husband holding her. Since she got too big for the sink, we started using the bathtub. It got to be back breaking work trying to kneel down by the tub and keep her under control (she hates the water!!). Now I just put on my bathing suit and get in the tub with her!! It is the only way I can bathe her by myself, she is not as terrified to be in there, and I have much better control over her wiggly little body. I know she's spoiled, but you gotta do what you gotta do! :) |
My husband bathes our big dogs in the walk in shower! It's great for that! |
