Flyball 1 Attachment(s) I thought I post a picture of Pepper at a flyball tournament. Flyball is a relay race with 4 dogs on a team. The course consists of a starting line, 4 hurdles spaced 10 feet apart and a box. The first hurdle is 6 feet from the start line and the box is 15 feet from the last hurdle for a 51 foot overall length. The dogs jump the hurdles and steps on a spring loaded box that shoots out a tennis ball. The dog catches the tennis ball and then runs back over the 4 hurdles. When the dog crosses the starting line the next dog goes. The first team to have all 4 dogs run without errors wins the heat. |
Pepper looks so agile. Thank you for sharing the pic.Thats awesome. :aimeeyork |
That is a wonderful picture! With how rambunctious (sp) and wonderful Yorkies are I can see how they would do well in the sport! :) |
Oh my goodness the patience you must have!!!!!!! I have trouble teaching Baby the basics sometimes. That picture is worth a 1,000 words. That yorkie looks so excited and like it's having soo much fun! |
WOW, Pepper looks like she loves doing that!!! The pictures are great |
She really does enjoy it a lot and the bond that forms between us because of these activities is priceless! |
What a fabulous idea! How do I get Simon involved in this? I am forever placing hurdles/obstacles in my hallway to make playing with his ball more enjoyable! I even taught him to put it through a basketball hoop but he would LOVE agility!!!! Pepper looks amazing!! |
Yeah I would like to know too, Lil Bear likes doing agility, but not for competition just for fun. I want to get moose and I involved in agility, flyball or something competative. |
Even if I never got Bo to the level that your baby is at, I would love to go watch a competition! Bo loves to run and jump!! How can I find out about a competition in my area? Also, Yorkieagility, you get such awesome pix! What kind of camera do you use? I love your avatar pic. I've always wanted to ask you how you took it. |
How do you find a flyball team to join? I would love to try it. Is it hard for a small dog to get the bll to release? |
