Sophia's first walk today! 1 Attachment(s) I just returned from taking my Sophia on her first walk. We just went down two houses and turned around and came back. She was such a little scaredy cat!! I'm sure she'll like it more once she gets used to it. Here is a pic..... |
How darling!!!!!! :) |
Good job, Sophia!!! ;) |
awww, what a sweet pic. :aimeeyork |
Very cute!!!! I am sure she will get used to it soon! Thanks for sharing! |
Yay Sophia! Tia wasn't too sure about walks, but I've been doing a little everyday and now she just adores them, she starts jumping when I get her harness out! :) Cute picture! |
Sophia looks to cute all dressed up for her first walk. |
Oh my goodness! She is so adorable and tiny! Once you get them going out on walks..they'll drive you up the wall! lol Corky seems to think whenever we leave, that means he's going to. lol. |
There's a great one for the baby book! |
yea for Sophia!!! She is stunning! Congrats |
She's a little beauty. I really like her leash and harness. |
Oh goodness! Sophia is out in the world now walking with the big dogs, LOL!! I bet the world seems really big to her now but soon she will be prancing herself around and strutting her stuff! GO GET EM SOPHIA !! |
Sophia is an absolute little doll! Funny how they get scared of things. The first time I took Maddie for a walk, I had to nearly drag her...she kept putting the brakes on. LOL |
Yes, that is exactly what Sophia kept doing....putting on the brakes!! It was pretty funny to see how she really thought she could stop the walk. I indulged her and when she did that, we stopped and I waited until I could get her to take some more steps. I took her for another real short walk later and she did a 'bit better. :aimeeyork |
Cordelia was the same way when I took her on her first walk. She would just stop and look at me all crazy. So I would pick her up, then she would want back down. If she heard a dog barking she would stop and tilt her head. Then look at me again like I was crazy. So, now I just let her out in the back yard. Is Sophia wearing a harness in that picture? |
Yes, she is wearing a harness. I like it so much better. I feel more confident that I am not hurting or choking her, and I know in a pinch I can pull her up if I need to. :) |
Bitsy, they are so cute when they are learning! Toto was so awful when we would first try the little harness on her, she would just drop to the floor and stay plastered there like she couldn't move! She was just terrified of it and we couldn't do anything to get her to stand up! It was so bad my husband found a trainer ... he had her trotting up and down the driveway the first session!! :) He also taught us how to lead her ... she is always on the left and if she gets distracted we just quietly tell her "stay with me"! I don't know if it's the sound of our voice that keeps her "in line" but it works! Being accustomed to walking on our left is much easier than meandering back and forth too! Little Sophia will be zipping along on her leash before you know it!! ;) |
