Update from the boys up North 4 Attachment(s) Got this from MIKE this morning. Eddie is in seventh-heaven now that the snow has melted. He's chasing ravens, jumping logs and wanting to go outside every 3.7 minutes. Cinco de Mayo was his second birthday, and though I was a bad dad and didn't throw a party, we broke our rules and gave him a soft toy to shred. He got it taken away once, though, because Jack walked past the toy and Eddie thrashed him. He's gotten better with Jack, but there are still episodes with his fave toys. Eddie just finished Week 2 of Jumper class, and he has already impressed the instructors with his pluck. He may not be as fast as the other dogs, but he makes fewer mistakes. We're training on logs in the backyard. I'm more in love with Jack every day. He's got so much personality, and he's so smart. I was training Eddie to walk on a park bench, and Jack caught on that Eddie was getting treats. Next thing I know, Jack was walking on the bench and waiting for a treat at the end. Now I can't even pass a bench without Jack walking on the bottom step and expecting a treat. It's hilarious. His health is terrific, even though I found out from animal control that he's at least 10 now. They have a record of him getting a rabies shot in 1996. Funny how the rescue lady never told me that when she placed the ad in the paper saying he was 5. For vid lovers, I've got 7 new short ones starting with April 26. www.dropshots.com/akyorkie |
*bump* I'm so glad that Jack is doing so much better. :) |
I love to hear about Eddie and Jack- thank you Terri for posting this. |
Thank you, Teri, for the new videos of Jack and Eddie! They are really darling. I love the fact that Jack is learning the agility stuff from watching Eddie, he is so smart. And he can really get around good, now that he has had his leg fixed. It is really a wonderful feat, especially since he was already 10 before his operation! What a great thing Mike has done for this little dog. Give Mike and Mrs Mike our love and tell Mike to keep the videos and emails coming if he won't post on YT. At least we can keep up with the adventures of our favorite northern members (Jack and Eddie!). |
Teri, thanks for posting! We love hearing about Jack and Eddie and their "fell off the face of the earth" skin-dad! That is just great how good Jack is doing...I think he will have many, many more happy years with Mike and his family! What a great thing Mike did! I think even if the woman had told the truth that Jack was 10 instead of 5 that Mike would have taken him anyway! Way to go buddy! Keep those pics and vids coming...we love em! |
