Esme slept in HER BED last night instead of her crate!
Esme has been sleeping in a small plastic crate by our bed since we got her. Well, the crate is really tiny. I think it's like a cat traveling box or something. Anyhow, when we first got her, she was so tiny in there, but I noticed that just recently, she can't lift her head all the way up anymore in there. My husband and I were going to buy her a bigger box today.
Esme has a cushion in the living room that she lays on when we are in that room. My husband was inspired to try letting her sleep on it through the night, just to see what happens. So, we brought the cuhion into the bedroom and layed it in her usual crate spot.
She immediately went and layed on it while my husband and I finished getting ready for bed. When we got in bed and turned the lights off she was looking at us like... 'Umm... someone made a mistake here?!?!?'
Well, she slept there the entire night! She woke me up at 4am to walk her to the pee pad, I guess she was scared to go on on her own. (We left some lights on for her). And then again at 7 am because she was ready for her breakfast. Then I got back in bed and slept until 10:30!!! She brought some toys to her cushion and fell asleep too!!!!
I am sooo happy! Today instead of shopping for a new crate, we are going to get Esme a new bed for the room!!!
