SSHHH!! I'm hunting wabbit 3 Attachment(s) We were outside playing fetch and taking pictures. We share our yard with a bunny and Gus is always on the look out for him. We see the bunny but Gus is completely oblivious. The bunny is hopping, making noise. Nothing. Gus is a few feet from him (first picture) still doesn't see him. Finally he sees him (second picture) he is quite surprised but not for long. They are running full speed (third picture). Can you see how much he wants it? :D He never got near it. The bunny lives under the porch and I knew that was where he was headed so I cut Gus off. Oh, and please ignore the condition of the yard and garden. It just got warm here. |
Hahah, there's that terrier instinct! You were mighty quick to get all those pictures so fast. |
Great photography skills! We have a lot of rabbits where we live too and my westie goes bananas when she sees one in the yard!! There is no controlling her. Don't worry about the yard. I'm just glad you didn't see mine. We don't have landscaping yet! |
That is SO funny!! Those instincts just kick in as soon as they see something small and furry that isn't another Yorkie! ;) Great pictures! |
That's so cute - his instincts are coming out. How cool you were able to get some pictures too! |
Thanks for putting a smile on my face this morning! Little Gus Gus is one of my favorites. Great shots! |
Great pics, thanks for sharing.. |
Oh, that is funny! I bet he thought he hit the jackpot!!! What a great game that was! |
Those pictures are so cute. thanks for sharing. i just love gus gus!!! |
Not lil bear Lil Bear would be out there trying to kiss the bunny and protect it from everyone but me. For the first year of her life Lil Bear shared the house with my bunny madaline. She was always licking her and trying to make maddy chase her by taking toys and then with lil bears but in the air bark and push the toy to maddy. Maddy usually tolerated it. When we would leave maddy would be in her cage in the kitchen and lil bear would be blocked in the area where maddy was and we would get back and there was lil bear laying next to her cage. When maddy passed away suddenly lil bear was so sad, I was still in college and ended up taking her to class with me for a couple of days. Ever since she has hated been left alone cause she doesn't have her guard rabbit. Even at pet stores if she sees someone else holding a bunny she will bark and growl at them till they put the bunny back. They always think she wants to eat it till I pick up the bunny and she stops backing and comes over to kiss it. I just hope moose has the same love of bunnies. |
Thanks everyone. I didn't think I would get the shot once they started running but they ran straight toward me. Envrobear, that is so sweet. I'm not sure what Gus would do if he caught it. I'm guessing he wouldn't be nice but don't worry that bunny is so fast. They started running from the same spot and it is hard to tell from the angle but Gus isn't even close in the third picture. I don't know why the bunny doesn't find a new place to live, we have two dogs that play right there. I keep telling Gus that bunny would kick his butt! |
The rabbit hunting is cute but i think ur baby is absolutly beautiful, ive never seen a biewer in real life. |
Envirobear- Are you going to get another bunny? I loved ready your stories about Lil Bear and Maddy. |
Go get 'em! That's so neat you were able to capture that on camera! I know it was fun for you to watch, oh man, Sully would have gone NUTS! He chased a pigeon in our back yard yesterday and thought he was king of the world. |
It was fun. The bunny was there for about five minutes before Gus noticed. I couldn't believe it. The look on his face when he saw that it was so close was priceless. If surprise was a noise we would have heard DOINK! Gus thanks you all for the compliments. He thinks he's hot stuff now. |
