While shooting more boring, poor-quality vids of Eddie and Jack, I captured a never-before-seen phenomenon of snow mice migrating in a strange pattern. It's the first one on the Tuesday, March 21 vids. I think I'm gonna send the video into The Learning Channel or something.

:eek: I never heard of them!!! Looks like Eddie & Jack were pretty brave .... I would have been screaming! :p That's so interesting .... where do they migrate to??

I'm pretty sure to the South Pole or someplace exotic. Unless they hit a road or something, then they'd have to go to the North Pole.

I swear, I try to watch those adorable videos but then Mattie starts jumping in my face licking me saying "No, Mom, I'M the cute doggie! I'M the cute doggie!" lick lick lick. so it usually takes two or three times to watch on 30 second video to make sure I caught all of it. :p


So let's keep it quiet and between us that I say they are cute dogs. Love the tricks. and keep that snow, too. I don't know how you live with it all! man. that would just drive me nuts and kill my back and leg! Temp here in SC dips below 50F and I'm down for the count!!!

AAAAHHHAHAHAHAH ! I Never Knew there was a species called Alaska Mice and they really DO leave interesting patterns in the snow - weren't you leery of that strange new breed ? Did you set out little Mouse Treats to get that awesome video ? :p :p :p :p

Wow what a phenomenon! They better give you good money for that video at the Geographic Channel!

The other video's are very cute too. I love the last one where Eddie won't let you pick him up... but follows behind you so you can make him a trail. Trixie does that too... she'll jump from my footstep to footstep in the thick snow so it's easier for her... They're such smart little buggers :animal-pa

I really enjoyed seeing the boys having so much fun...it shows people how well a Yorkie can endure the colder climates...they look like a happy pair!

migrating snow mice, eh? I wouldn't count on retiring on your residuals from the Discovery Channel. Oh, and you might want to lay off those hot toddies, Mike. ;)

I love the vids...I just watched them and was fascinated by the migrating snow mice....where are they going? hehehe Your boys are never boring. :)

Leave it to you, Jaspermom! Don't you watch American Idol? It's called a falsetto! All the cool dog trainers and Idol wannabes are doing it.

I don't know how I started doing that. I've never used that voice with other dogs. I suspect it was because I noticed a difference in how he reacted to the higher voice. Then again, it might have been peer pressure, because in all the obedience classes we've taken, I've been the only guy. OMG. I've heard of people picking up a Southern accent, but a female accent!? Don't tell the man's thread.
