I will let you know guys the new link... Cosita is alone today. I am in the office. She must be crying up a storm. I have a pet sitter coming to watch her at noon for 30 minutes. Want to make sure she is surviving the loneliness. Man, my pet is really juicing me out.. I am soooooooooo tired. Hope she leaves the puppy stage soon so I can do more fun stuff -R :o |
 I AM a member of ofoto - just joined 2day funnily enough! NO idea how to get my pics in the album though - how do u drag pics into it when they are in yr computer?! I would love to see yr pics but can I just view them as opposed to SAVE them? I would love to see them! Ana xx |
Yayyyyyyy I tried again and successfully got signed up with "Ofoto"!!! Raiza ... the pictures of Cosita are adorable!! I was happy to see the X-pen set up ... that's exactly what Toto has! I leave the gate open all the time when we are home and then if we have to leave her alone for awhile she has everything in there that she needs while we are away! It's like her "safe" place and she always runs there when she feels threatened by overly aggressive grandchildren! When we are camping in our "Casita" we take two X-pens and set them up on a "tarp" inside a dining tent that has net "walls" and zippered doors to protect Toto from predators. Gives her lots of room to play and I have peace of mind knowing that if I am inside for a few minutes she will be safe! We also use the X-pen on a tarp when we are in hotels ... the hotel thinks we are protecting their floor ... I saw a report on TV about even the nicest hotels having all kinds of germs and the reality is ... I am protecting Toto!! :D I haven't figured out how to put pictures in the album but am just glad I was able to view the ones of Cosita! How are her ears doing ... looked pretty doggone good to me!! :D |

Wow, didn't know I had this many posts!!! J-Mac.. btw looove the name.. what an amazing story!!.. I think both of your dogs are beautiful!!! you say that Mac claims gates, well, my Yorkie is claiming her play pen already. So doesn't matter whether I have the door opened or closed. She gets in and out when she feels like it... and she is only 3 pounds. It is true when you say: "Once you hold them, you never give them back". I wish I could attach thumbnails like you do.. don't know yet how to do it. Gypsy Rose and Bettyeanne: Here is how you upload pictures on Ophoto: 1. Sign in 2. There will be a graphic of an Album which says "Create New Album". Click on it. 3. Fill out Album "title:" "Album date:" and "Album description:" and then click "Next" (Orange graphic) 4. Click on "Choose Photos" (orange graphic). IF you are doing this for the first time, it may ask you to install a program (not sure) but if it pops a box to install something, say "YES".. 5. If it does not pop up that box to install, will pop a box for you to choose pictures from your "C" drive... Pick a pic, or the pictures you want to Upload and say "Add". You will see that picture on Ophoto browser. (I pick a bunch of pic at once).. You are not done yet... 6. Scroll a little down and click on "start upload" (orange graphic) .. and wait few seconds. 7. Once the pic(s) is uploaded, ophoto browser will show the page with the picture(s) 8. Click on "View album" (orange button graphic) 9. Click on "Sldeshow" 10. Good luck, hope it works... Ask away if you are still having problems. -Raiza :) Quote:

Ofoto (www.ofoto.com) is a place where you can store personal pictures online, then "share" the album with anyone you choose. I believe you can choose prints and have them print them out for you as well. I don't remember if it's still free or not. Sort of like the YorkieTalk Photo Gallery, but your own personal one. :) |
bettyeanne: I am glad you liked the pictures! Yes the play pen is definitely the thing to have. Good idea about camping.. my booboo doesn't have all vaccinations yet, but we can't wait to take her camping. "Cosita - Casita" how cute.. ahh just remembered, Cosita is already claiming out of the pen.. I don't know how to get her not to do it.. Well, she only does it when she knows some one is upstairs.. Some time I go to clean or something, and I leave it her in her pen so I can finish my job without worrying what she is doing or having her in between my legs... When we are downstairs we leave the door open as well so she gets in and out when she pleases. It is funny to see her drag out her toys and then bring them back in one by one.. She is sooooooooooooooooooooooo adorable. I never knew how a such a little thing can give you so much enjoyment! even tho the potty training is awful! I still don't know about her ears, but I think they will be okay. I think she is teething reason why she brings one down... don't know.. I will love her anyway!! - Raiza Quote:

Raiza ... thanks for the help with Ofoto!! :) Before Toto finished her shots, Dr. Lucy cautioned us about not letting Toto on the ground [yeah, like we would ... still don't very much!], not to take her out in crowds and not to let strangers touch her! We did everything Dr. Lucy advised us to do and have one healthy little girl! We did take her camping ... laid a tarp down and set her X-pens up on the tarp and she had a great area to play when we were outside, but we never let her touch the ground and if strangers wanted to hold her or touch her we got really good at saying "No, if you don't mind, she is too young and we would really rather you didn't". Training to the wee-wee pad was relatively easy for Toto. We had studied all the books and decided to use the "reward" method for training whether it be by treat or praise. Every time she went tee-tee on the pad we would get all excited and just shower her with praises and a treat! If she didn't go on the pad ... nothing ... no scolding .... we would just calmly sit her on the pad and say "tee-tee here"! She got the hang of it pretty quickly! ;) When we are travelling I put one of her crates on the back seat so she can easily get in it ... put a wee-wee pad in it along with her water and kibble! This keeps us from having to stop along the way and let her go tee-tee on strange ground! :D |
Click on the smiley face Your Smiley Face gave ME a smiley face ! Loved that story - YOU GO !!! I totally understand your feelings and don't people like that make you just want to WHOOOP UPSIDE THEIR HEAD ! You are handling that situation just GREAT ! Good LUCK with you 2 kids! |
I think i have been bad... bettyeanne, You know, I think I have been doing bad. Cosita only has two shots and I am scheduled for the other one on the 23. The thing is that I was waiting for this insurance to take effect on the 20. I have been taking Cosita everywhere!! We even go for walks in the evenings. It is kind of late at night so no people or other dogs are around. Also my sister in law brought her Golden Retriever to visit with Cosita... My breeder told me not to take her out until she has had all the shots, but I guess I didn't get the message quite well. I will go this Friday instead of the 23 to get the third shot and then on the 23 I will get the other shot. Cosita has been doing fine tho. I guess I should be more careful with her. About the "potty training" ... she has been good on the pad. But I don't want her to go there while I am at home. I work from home 3 days a week and then I come in the office two days a week. Sometimes she seems to get the going outside and "potty", but then seems that she goes back to square one. My sister in law told me to be patience since it takes about 3 months (or more) of having accidents and frustrations! I have had Cosita only 16 days! The good news is that she knows already to "go to your bed", "sit", "lay down", "kisses", "stay", and "leave it", still learning "rollover"... Fetching hasn't quite master it but getting there. Hubby says she has learned a lot in the last days, I should give her more credit!!! and I think so. My husband is even impressed by her how fast she learns.. I wish the "potty" should be that fast... here I go again.. being desperate! -Raiza  Quote:

Raiza ... you aren't being a "bad mom"! :) I believe the reason our Dr. Lucy was so "strict" with us was because we travel so much and have Toto in so many strange places! When we are home we pretty much knew who could touch her and the areas it might be safe to let her go. I never knew that there are germs and stuff that "lives" in the ground, such as parvo! We were so paranoid in the beginning ... I began to worry about my "mental health"! Then we got over it!! And now "common sense" rules! :D The potty training ... is a whole other "ballgame"! Seems that they are all different in this area and I have found that "whatever works for you". We tried lots of different ways before we finally realized what worked for Toto. Now, we just make sure that she knows where her wee wee pad is and that it is always clean [Miss Prissy Paws refuses to use a pad if she can see a pee pee spot on it! ]. When we are camping she knows where her potty is .... when we are visiting, I put one in a place that's out of the way and make sure I show her where it is and when she needs to go, she knows where she is supposed to go! Toto is over a year old now and she still has an occasional "accident" but we have noticed that there is always a reason behind it ... she is upset, somewhere that's very loud and confusing and even a few times when we think she is just plain "pissed" off!!! :p Loving and raising a Yorkie is a great adventure and requires patience and persistence that will amaze you!!! Sounds like you are doing a great job .. your Hubby is right, she sounds like a really smart girl, give her credit and just keep up the good work!! :D |
