I've been thinking about Hallie's life a lot lately. I think because she is going to be 4 in March so I started to look back at the pics of her when I got her and how sad she was. I adopted Hallie when she was 2 1/2 and she has been with me everyday since. Here are some pics of little Hallie through stages :)

2. leaving Alaska on our big road trip

Hallie looks like she has had alot of fun adventures with your family and many more to come! I love the pic of her 3rd bday she looks like she was having alot of fun.

Hallie was abused and malnourished when she was taken away (by the police) from her previous owners. She spent her life in a plastic carrier in her own waste most of the time. And recently I found out she had at least 2 litters of puppies via c-section. when she was brought to my vet she had broken ribs and weighed just 2 pounds. My vet called me and asked me to foster her and I said ok without knowing she was even a yorkie. I went and picked her up and adopted her a few hours later :)

I'm happy to say she is a happy chunky monkey now weighing in at 5.5 pounds :) I can still see residual effects from her previous life. she panics if she doesn't have food in her bowl and she is skiddish around men but getting much better. I take her to daycare for socialization so she is getting better around other animals too!

That is so sad to hear how she wasnt cared for in the first part of her life. Im so glad she got you as an owner later in life and she looks so happy now! You are such a wonderful mommy! :p

Ah, poor little thing.. I see now why she looks so happy now. That is wonderful of you, to make her life so great, as it should have always been. I'm sure she is so thankful. I love to hear stories with happy endings.

Looking at the pictures I think Hallie hit the jackpot whn you adopted her! I am kind of jealous, she gets to travel more than me! Next time you are visiting your family in Va give us a call!

Kudos to you for adopting Hallie and giving her such a wonderful life!! She's a beautiful girl, and deserves a mommy like you and a brother like Simon!! Isn't she lucky to have found you?? Every birthday Hallie should mail your vet a Thank You card for instigating the miracle of her life with you!! :D

Poor Hallie, and thank goodness those first 2 yrs of her life are in the past. You did a great thing when you rescued her, and you are both blessed to have each other. Those pictures of her are beautiful and she looks extremely happy to me :) Thanks for sharing those pics and her story. She really is a doll :)

I am sooo glad that Hallie has found her way to you! Hopefully she won't remember her previous life and only has memories of love and trust with you and Simon! What great pics!!!!! I love seeing Hallie pics!!!! She is soooo sweet and Weeg and Brasc and myself can't wait to meet her one day soon!!! We love you Hallie Ann!!!!!
