Oooh you're giving me fun ideas!!!! |
At first I thought you were related to George Foreman and named all your kids the same name. then ....I thought...well...isn't this the easy way to have a yorkie meetup without actually traveling outside of your home. similar to the YT wall paper that I still use as a matter of fact. |
Wow............ I want to try it myself -- if only my baby would stay still long enough for me to take a good picture of her. If I say stay, she would but she would keep turning her head in trying to figure out what I was doing with the digital camera. And boy, shutter leg of these digital camera is not very good at all. Or maybe it was me  ? I had to take maybe fifty photos just to get a OK one. :p How do your guys do it anyway? I tried using treats but then she would try to get it if she waits too long. You have no idea of how many photo of her I got without she actually in it. :D Any tips? |
1 Attachment(s) You've created a monster. I'm late for an appointment, but this is so much fun. I had some exposure problems again with this, but it's still kinda funny. |
Oh wow...I hope to some day get some time to try your cloning tips! I am still amazed looking at your pics! I didn't realize that the background was your home...I thought you'd probably gotten it out of a magazine...it's beautiful! |

By there way, I didn't realize that was your house and your baby (babies??). It looks like a post card. :) |

First, we live in a very, uh, humble area of town. And second, that's the neighbor's yellow home in background. That's my snow berm, though, that Eddie's running down. I'm quite proud of it, but it will melt in April and leave an ugly lawn with a ton of tiny YorkiePoos on it. And I'm not talking the dog breed. And what kind of tips do you want, amyann, other than how to assess the looks of a nice home! Val -- who invented and taught me the technique -- offered some great step-by-step tips earlier in this thread (Post 65). |
To answer your questions, 1. yes, I thought that was Eddie(s) runing down ....... and that was your house. 2. how do you get Eddie to stay still long enough to take a good picture? I mean, it seems like you can do it very easily - just look at how many Eddies you got there on your two photos posted on this thread. :) |

Eddie sits and stays pretty well, so boring shots of him sitting and staying are pretty easy. He could NEVER do the poses that Val has doing sully doing in her initial picture. The snow picture was actually pretty simple. I lifted him up on the top and told him to stay. It was sorta steep and he'd never been up there before, so he didn't mind obliging. Then I said 'come.' I have a good camera, so I took all those other pictures as he was running down. He wasn't 'posing' in any of the shots other than the two at the top. He was moving in all the others, toward me. |

Oh well: I have an older Canon EOS Digital Rebel, 6.3 megapixels. It's big and clunky for practical purposes, but I like it because I was looking for a camera that can use interchangeable lenses. I own a 70-300 mm telephoto that I LOVE. But as much as I like it, I usually try to discourage most people from getting it because lenses are pricey. Canon has upgraded its digital rebel a couple times since I bought mine for $1,000. Now you can get an 8 megapixel for $900, and you can get mine for $500. But again, an amateur could do better with a camera that has a nice optical zoom built in. Many $300-$500 cameras have a "burst" mode, though, that allows you to get pictures like I did with Eddie coming down the hill. It allows you to shoot a burst of three shots as fast as you can press the shutter. Hope that helps. As for posing, teach sit and stay. Val says Sully will sit all day long if she doesn't let him break. |

Thanks. :) I didn't realize Val is a photographer. My bad as it is so obvious. :p I have got to try the "burst" mode - I think mine should have it too. Val: Sorry, Val. :p It's amazing how your photos turned out. I couldn't believe my eyes at first and you sure have a great model posting for you there. I just wish I can train my baby better so I can clone her too. ;) How do you do it with a Yorkie anyway? I always thought they have a mind of their own and pretty strong too. More training sections for me tomorrow. :) |

Those pics are too cool. I would love to take an extra Sully. And your gonna have to clone Mercedes a few times as well. Or me and Megan will be fighting. OH and Mike,,, you know how both me and my Val feel about Eddie! Gotta send us one of him too. |
I am blown away... I just cant stop looking at those pictures! |
Val, that picture is awesome, you are the most creative person I know! |
