Eddie the moose hunter

Some of you saw the picture of the moose in our backyard a couple weeks ago. Well, Eddie hasn't gotten over it. He has turned into a moose tracker. Everytime he sees a moose track, or something he believes is a moose track, he buries his head in the snow and digs. He's even gotten good at spotting them. I was walking him the other day and didn't notice a moose in the trees, but Eddie went ballistic.

Top that, Mr. I Can Do Anything Sully!

Eddie is the moose-hunting king! And he is such a cute (I mean manly) moose-hunting king at that!

Thank you for clarifying that, Amanda. There is no such thing as a cute moose hunter. Handsome, maybe. Rugged for sure. But moose hunting is serious business and never cute.

And don't even THINK of calling him 'baby.'

I took a look at your pics you posted. That's so cool!! When Merlot and I lived in McGrath he would always alert me to the moose in the yard. He goes more bezerk over them than any other animal. I wonder if it's because they are so big. A couple of times he has saved us. We walked at all times of the day and night because I work shift work. A couple of times Merlot would sound off right before we walked into a few of them! That's something I don't miss about AK!! :animal36

WOW!! Good job, Eddie! If you wanna "moonlight", I'll bet the hunters here in Colorado would pay big bucks for a "hunting dog" like you!! Do you also hunt Elk?!? ;)

Thats the sweetest thing! eddie is great,

if any of mine saw a moose they would pee their pants!
umm come to think of it so would i , we dont get many moose in rural England
the odd mouse or maby a fox but no Moose,

It was YOU! I knew there was someone here who used to live in McGrath. I definitely defer to you when it comes to having moose-tracking Yorkies! That's real moose country.

And BettyeAnne, that's a great idea! I'm sure he can make the transition from moose to elk. I'm not sure your Colorado hunters are secure enough in their manhood to let a Yorkie guide them, though. Come to think of it, don't tell anyone outside of YT that I go moose hunting with Eddie.

And Viki, fox are scarier than moose! I think a moose would leave a yorkie alone! That reminds me of a pic I saw a while back of a cat and moose. I'll post here.

Ok, silly question but those tracks in the snow...Are they moose tracks?

Go Eddie go! You are such a trooper outdoors!! I think your Dad needs to get you a special vest that says "Official Moose Tracker"! ;)

OMG, that is alot of snow! Does Eddie wear boots??? And here mine won't go outside when the ground is wet!
