My Yorkie reminded me she was a TERRIER today 1 Attachment(s) So Turbie and I went out to go grab the mail, like we do everyday, and she just sniffs around in the front/side yard. Well today, she caught wind of something and took off into some THICK berry bushes into the FOREST behind our house! I thought it was all secure, because.. well.. there prickly BERRY BUSHES. Well, I called her, she didnt come, and there was no way for me to get through the bushes. Then I saw her dart off in one direction in the forest. So I had to run around (in my pajamas, with the mail!) to the nieghbors two houses down to try to get into their backyard to get into to where I thought she was. I eventually found her in some thick forest area, covered in mud and sticks, with this terrier look on her face like "Mom! There you are! Lets go explore some more!". Jeeez.... never eeeever again, way too risky! Its my own fault for thinking she wouldnt do something like this, when shes a TERRIER. NEEEEEVER underestimate your TERRIER, even if they are only a few pounds!!!!! Heres a pic right after this little incident. |

As soon as Nelly gets through the door it is like she is saying, yah I am free. She has no idea where she is going she just runs all around the block, the more we chase her the more excited she gets and thinks it is a game. The only way we get her back in the house is to get her to chase us. It is scary when she gets out but when she is back in the house we all laugh because she is so excited to be out there you can actually see the glee in her face, it is priceless. |

Hahahaha!!! As soon as I saw her face I thought it looked like "oh man am I gonna be GROUNDED???" :p Great story!! Bet your heart was POUNDING!! Glad you got her back relatively unharmed but for the dirt! Thanks for the reminder about not taking anything for granted when it comes to these FAST little boogers!! |

One time, I was out in the middle of a main street stopping traffic for her!!!!!!!! Gus has taken off on me once and he too had that guilty face. She is so cute. Guilty but cute! |
