Took Runty and Daisy to a Groomer for their first EVER haircut for the summer....but I asked to use blade # 10

When I went to pick them up...I couldn't believe those were MY DOGGIES !!! :(
I 'll try to post the before and after pics.

Gidget goes for her usual summer haircut tomorrow. Please post pix. They might not be as bad as you think and the hair will grow. Have you used this groomer before?

I gave my little cotton-coated Gus a really short haircut this week. He tangles and mats like crazy, and between the humid 90 degree plus days, and the joy he gets from prowling through the dense garden beds in our lanai hunting lizards, he spends the summer looking like a mess! It is shocking to see how small he is without his crazy fuzzy coat, but he also looks like the imp that he is. After I give him a bath, and trim the crazy hairs poking loose, I will try to post a pic. :D

OMGoodness they must be bald, the higher the blade # the shorter the hair. I'm surprised the groomer didn't tell you this and suggest a lower blade #.

At my last groomer for summer she used a # 7 which was perfect. I changed groomers last Sept. told her to use a 7 blade, OMG whose yorkie is that. I don't know why her 7 was different from other groomers I have used, thank goodness hair grows back and Cody's hair grows fast. Now we use # 5 for all seasons, winter he gets groomed every 6 weeks, summer every 4 weeks.

Your pics are to large, they have to be 200KB or under to post on YT. You'll have to resize your pics.

My Favorite groomer moved around several times over the years and I always found him. In the winter I would do trimming myself. I had always done my FurBabies nails as well as the hair on paws and between pads. It was easy because I could do it at my convenience. Well, his last move was just to far! I took my two FurBabies Fergie and Bailey to another location for a ‘Summer’ Cut. She Shaved both my babies, I was Sick!!! My baby hair was Floor Length!?! OMG My Grown Son was also Upset! It grows back but I know just how you feel! I had told her a summer cut but Shorter/Long Layers???
From that day to this day, I do all their grooming. Depending on how you have your babies cut, I learned from Following how I thought my favorite groomer cut their hair. I also watched a Ton of YouTube Videos.

My suggestion is, Next time ask the New Groomer If they regularly do small breed FurBabies, how long have they been in Business?My last question for them would be, Do you have Pictures Of Previous Customers, FurBabies,

The hair will grow back quickly. We Always have t-shirts😊

I was just going to say this. In addition, I have heard that a #10 blade is used on severely matted dogs as it gives them a clean slate.
