Roxie 2 Attachment(s) Roxie was born to a local breeder last October, and she's between two and three pounds now. Her coloration suggests she may not be pure Yorkie, but we don't care, she's adorable to us. We took Prezly, our 9 year old toy poodle, to meet Roxie when we picked her up, so he would feel "included" in the whole deal. I know, it sounds like we treat them like human kids, but it seems to have helped them acclimate. They play-fight constantly, and Prezly has figured out clever ways to get rid of her. For example, he will lead her toward the back door, let her go through, then turn around and go back in as I close the door. But they often sleep on the same dog bed, so they do get along. |

Welcome to YorkieTalk, John_R. Your Roxie is just adorable!!!! I don't think it is at all odd that you decided to include Prezly when you picked up Roxie. It's wonderful that they are building a relationship--even if part of that is Prezly getting away from her. Roxie is just as cute as could be. --KatysMom |
:welcome4: That is definitely a face you can't help but love! |
What an adorable little girl! Poodles are so smart...our Beauregarde knows how to slip our two yorkies when he wants all our attention too, but they also share lots of snuggle time together. I am sure that they will soon be best of friends! |
Such cuties! |
Roxie gets jealous when Prezly gets attention. But he spends all day with me in my office, while she’s with my wife. |
Roxie is just adorable. |
She's such a little doll!!!! |
Thanks, all. She's currently under the weather. She ate something and woke up this morning vomiting and wobbly. Whatever it was, it made the vet scratch his head when he looked at the X-ray. I'm wondering if she caught a small bird or lizard, as it showed tiny chewed-up bone fragments or something of the same density as bone, and lots of other material in her stomach. We're giving it a chance to digest, and will X-ray it again tomorrow. |
We'll keep her in our thoughts. Hope she feels better soon. |
Sorry to hear she is not well. Hope things work out well and that she does not need any intervention. |
Aw they are so cute together! Love to hear how they play so well!! Sorry to hear Roxie got a little sick though. These little ones are *always* picking up dirty stuff outside. It's not easy but we gotta constantly watch them like a hawk. When they get sick, it's so sad and scary because they're so helpless. Hope you figure out what's wrong and that she gets well soon!! :) |
