We had Bella groomed at Petsmart today. They did a great job and treated her well. Her bow stayed on all day. I hope it's not too big a struggle to remove it at bedtime...

This is a puppy cut. We've had her in a modified schnauzer cut in the past--that's when you let the hair on the legs grow longer. Puppy cut is easier to maintain--fewer tangles. Bella absolutely HATED us combing out the tangles on her legs when we had the modified schnauzer cut. Here is a photo from her modified schnauzer cut days:

She looks great!!! I've been going shorter with Deuce's legs too but not sure how short to go. Please, Please, Please try to take a pic of Bella standing with this haircut. It would help me since Bella looks like her coat has a similar texture to Deuce's.

By popular demand, here is Bella's new haircut from the side. I just noticed that her hair is so shiny that her back is reflecting the color of the couch (her back is really silver). Her right hind leg is hidden by the blanket, but you can get a good idea of the haircut from her other hind leg.

Thank you. That gives me a good look at the outline for the legs. Deuce has some wild hair on his front leg elbows (?). I see Bella has that same sweep going on too but they have it under control.

I just tell the groomer I want feathering on the legs. If they cut the leg hair as short as the rest of her body, they look like sticks.
