We chose Finley Oak because we knew we either wanted Finley, or Oakley. Right after we got him we had to take a trip into Petsmart (I know this is EXTREMELY dangerous for a young puppy, but we had no other choice. He stayed in my arms and we weren't in there for more than five minutes) and a lady said "he's so cute! What's his name?" And I told her we were thinking either Finley or Oakley. And she and my mom agreed that Finley sounded cute. So he's Finley Oakley, Finley Oak for short. He's finally starting to get a personality and it is the most precious thing ever. We call his name and he WOBBLES over to us all excited. He stays in a baby play pen while I'm at school and when my mom gets home she lets him in the living room with her and she says he runs in circles when she comes TK get him. He's eating amazingly, it takes him a good while to eat but he eats all that's given and drinks crazy amounts of water. He's been popping and peeing so I think he's doing well. Just need to get the yeast infection and worms under control then he'll be 100%. We ordered three sweaters for him since I live in Georgia and we can get cold winters and I have no heat in my bedroom. I'm hoping they come in soon. We had to order them special because he's too little for LPS (local pet stores) sweaters. More pictures to come! Just have to get the patience to deal with uploading :) |
Please step back and look what you started this thread with. You come here and say that you have a dog that has worms, has yeast in his ears and was taken from his mother at the age of 7 weeks (which is illegal in many states) and expect everyone to agree that your pup comes from a "reputable breeder". Sorry but that is not going to happen. I don't care what guarantee the breeder gives, it is not healthy for the pup to leave his mom at 7 weeks and a "reputable breeder" would not allow that. Your ability to care for the dog is not being attacked. In fact just the opposite is true. We are hoping, rooting and praying that you can care for that baby because that is exactly what he needs now. The first and foremost concern of the members here is the welfare of the dogs. Please stay with us and show us how this pup grows into a healthy, happy furbaby. I look forward to many pics of Finley Oak. |

He sounds like a little champ - eating so well and doing so well, what a good lil boy. Btw, I just *love* that wobble stage :D. Also, when our Marcel came to us - he was SO tiny and low to the ground, that when he moved/ran, he literally looked like he was on wheels - it was too adorable for words. He actually still kinda looks like he's on wheels when he runs bc he's a small adult. |
Welcome to YT and congrats on your new little boy, such a cute name. Please do be careful with this wee little baby, 7 weeks is way to young for him to be taken away from his momma. For you to leave this forum because you were given the truth of what a reputable breeder would never do you will be doing a great injustice to this precious little baby. I do hope you will stick around, there is much information on this breed that you will find helpful and useful. |
First off, welcome to YT. We all love these little dogs here and we hope and pray little Finley thrives. That being said, if someone with years of knowledge of this particular breed wants to try to talk a little truth to you, please understand that it is out of concern for the pup. While you have a lot of experience with various animals, these little critters have their own unique set of problems and needs and this forum has guided me, and so many others, to do the right thing for our Yorkies. You will find that many of us here speak in no nonsense terms. This is not to degrade or insult anyone and again, it is done out of love and concern for the breed. To end, we are all eagerly looking for pics and updates on FO and wish you a long and happy lifetime together. Many puppy kisses are coming your way! |
Congrats on your baby! He is cute ! |
