Introductions 1 Attachment(s) Hello all! My name is Julie. 21 years ago, I got my first ever dog that was mine alone. Her name was Manda and she was my best friend for 16 years. She was a Yorkie and the most precious girl. I was at a different place in life - gone from home 9-10 hours a day. I don't remember specifically house training her or much else from those early years. She did sleep with me every day of her life. Jump ahead to last Saturday. Both my husband and I knew it was time for a new family member. We got lucky with an amazing breeder and brought little Maddie home Saturday. Oh how life has changed. I am needing a LOT of solid advice going forward for transitioning to a crate, transitioning from 50% pee pad trained to outside trained, won't eat much, eat and then walked her for 45 minutes with no poop - then pooped on the floor, barking ALL NIGHT LONG. We have our first vet visit next week but in the meantime, I figured I'd get to know some folks who love these little sweeties as much as we do. |
Welcome ! Congrats , Maddie is adorable .. |
No advice, but welcome to yorkie talk! What a cutie! |
Welcome to YT...Congratulations Maddie is just adorable but, I see mischief in that little face lol. She will bring much love and laughter into your lives. I miss my puppies days, have fun with her. |
Welcome and congratulations......Maddie is adorable ! Yes, some little ones are more difficult to potty train then others. My little Zoey was difficult, but I was very diligent and she eventually got it !!! Just be consistent and don't get discouraged. As for the barking all night, I can't help you there, Zoey doesn't bark unless something is wrong. Again, welcome and wishing you all the best with Maddie. |
Good looking little cutie you have there! She will have you wrapped around her little paws in no time! |
Awe she's adorable! Congrats on Maddie and welcome to YT! |
