What type of Yorkshire is my little princess? 1 Attachment(s) We got our little princess about a year ago. The breeder said that she is pure particolor. But as she grew up, we noticed that she doesn't have a typical Yorkshire look ( basically her coat ). We thought she was a red legged yorkie. Since, she has what seems like a single coat and very fine hair that are not shiny. We did a little research and it seems like she is not even red legged. We are just confused. I'm in no way an expert but I'm pretty sure parti Yorkies are primarily white with black/silver and tan. As for her fur, it's hard to tell in pictures but I know there are threads on here about coats. Still, she IS very cute😀! |
My Bobby is an AKC Parti Yorkie; he has a black saddle (his black), white chest, white front and back legs, white on the top of his head, and some tan in his face. He has the same color pattern as a German Biewer. Except for his coloring he looks 100% Yorkie (face and body type). I have seen many different color patterns in "Parti" Yorkies, but also see many mixed breeds claiming to be Parti Yorkies ... so, I would only go with a trusted breeder and make sure he is AKC registered, if it is important that he is pure Yorkie. Frankly, Bobby is the best little dog I have ever had -- I don't really care about his lineage -- he is pure "gold" to me :) |

Thank you everybody. She certainly is the most precious and I love her to bits. As for the color, she has white fur in the tummy and top of her head , and her body is black and legs are tan. So I think she is a parti yorkie. It's just that her fine hair and coat makes me wonder if she is a mix ��. |

What you have is a spoiled rotten lil cutie of a yorkie. My last girl had very fine hair, she was 100% all yorkie. |
